It is a toast to you, the nervous teen shuffling quietly through school, you, the busy spouse holding it together at home, and you, the old soul in a rest home wondering what the family is doing this weekend ... works of Art, all of you, and no less wondrous in a world that fails to notice. Whether the performer intended this message, I have no idea, but it is a direct implication of the way the work went down.

Totally agree! The un-noticers are part of the experience in different ways. Do they notice but can't figure out why no one is surrounding the dancer to just enjoy this dance?, or feel too insecure to say, wow! or don't want to separate from their group?
