How did I almost forget about this song?! I was born in the 70's, and grew up in the 80's and 90's. I remember Ms. Spencer very well. Today at random, "Symptoms of True Love" came to mind. I was like, "I wonder whatever happened to her? I had to come on and listen to a few of her tunes 🎶.

+inquizative44 You are so right, when you look in the comments section of some youtube videos, you see people cursing each other out for what they feel is an unintellectual response. They have no respect for a person's veiw of any subject. No empathy, lacking sensitivity. A lot of times I just keep my thoughts to myself.

Kenneth Lamb On my way home, I'm riding on the subway and no one speaks to each other, 85% of the people are looking at their 'smart' phones. No common courtesy, no hello's, no have a good evening.....nothing. I grew up when people kindly greeted each each other, even if they didn't know each other. 'Common courtesy' was considered proper etiquette. Now if you try to say hello to a stranger, they look at you like your crazy or like your are going to rob them. It's insane how programmed we are.

Never stopped loving this song. I feel like the industry didn't quite know what to do with her because she's incredibly underrated. I think she would have done well with Babyface or Narada Michael Walden or Jam & Lewis on production. There should have been duets with Tevin Campbell or Shanice.

@@matthewprince9705 and a different label. Capitol shelved her album Naturelle that was supposed to come out in 1994. She recorded the entire album and they shelved it she got discouraged and quit singing for 5 years. Its odd they didn’t drop her but she came back in 99 on the same label and dropped the very forgotten Tracie album. I agree she needed bigger producers Tracie like Shanice had great vocals and the it factor but their careers stalled. Shanice’s 1999 album was stellar and LaFace did not promote it at all.

Tracie Spencer was very popular worldwide. She was a great real music artist with an incredible amount of talent. She had a great singing voice. She was a real music artist that made real music. She was very popular in the Dance Pop music genre and R&B music genre. This song was a top 5 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 music chart. She had some very big top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 music chart and number one hits on the Billboard R&B music charts and some big top 10 hits on the Billboard Dance music charts. She toured all over the United States and around the world. She sold a few million albums. She never recorded any more albums after the 90s but her music will forever be loved and will forever live on with the Freestyle Dance music fans that used to party and dance to her music in the Freestyle Dance clubs of the 90s in places like New York, Miami, Chicago, San Francisco and San Jose.

@Dahmer_Jeff: I saw her perform on Star-search back in '87 when she was 11, and this was before she was signed to Capitol Records in '88....she had the same stage presence u see presented in this video. Her family has a musical background, so her talents and how she presented herself came Naturally because her talents had already been developed. Of course, your PR people help guide you in the industry, but you have to be self-driven for the most part.

Every time I hear this song it gives me chills I cry because the words are so powerful of what’s going on in the world back then and even more now. That song tells you to have a heart be kind to people and we all want to be treated with respect like everyone else. We all deserve a better life not just the rich. If I had a lot of money I would give back to the people who have been forgotten and help them live a better life. We all should care. Being selfish is not a good thing.

Okay this is a miracle. I haven’t heard this song since I was 8. But I always wondered why it disappeared from the airwaves. Then google advertised in their app a hum-to-identify feature… and here I am. I’m amazed that I held down the melody so well after 30+ years!!!!!

Very nice song, with a beautiful message, much needed for today in 2020. Let's put away the hate, and racism and Love one another. We are all one race, the human race created by God. This house is our house. This Earth is our Earth. Let's love one another.

What election, if your talking about the President there are no more presidents..Obama was the last President ratified, Trump just took control in 2016 and was not a real president for U.S. he just played the role and did not do crap for humanity....so I don't know what you're thinking....Biden is not president nor has he been ratified either for this position and the white house is not on american soil so how do we have a president...
