These "just the laps" vids are SUCH A TREAT!!! I can never, ever, get enough of this V6 roar... Nice to see some clean and fast driving, while taking good care of the car, with no unnecessary risks..! Take care, man! Thanks! Keep it up!

Glad you enjoy them. As much as story telling is fun, I wanted to keep this series of "bare bones" videos both for posterity and for those who may just want some reference laps to watch without the narrative....but still make them with decent production value.

great driving! Which gloves are those??
@LapoftheWorld Жыл бұрын
Thanks! They're the loudest color of AlpineStars "Tech-1 Start" that I could find (though these are an older generation than what's currently available new). Most of what I do is HPDE so the bright color makes point-bys and other hand signals easier to see.

@@LapoftheWorld thank you! I saw them and they look comfy and grippy, so I might try to get some myself.

@@FLFrostBite I've enjoyed them. It's the second pair of Alpinestars that I've had and both have been very comfortable and durable as well as grippy on at least my leather wheel.

I’m a 67 year old enthusiast currently in Valdosta with home base in Sebring. My son races a Miata in the chump car deal. I have a bone stock 2020 SS 1LE Camaro that I’m considering putting on the track. Naturally Sebring is on the bucket list, but I’m thinking that The Firm looks like a better starting point.would you agree? BTW, just discovered your channel, subscribed and will follow. I really like your commentary, videos, and wide-spread locations. Thanks!

I think The FIRM would be a good place to feel out the car, there's only one wall in the whole place so with a little discretion there it'd be hard to get into too much trouble even with that kind of power. Sebring is awesome of course but definitely a higher risk/reward quotient in some parts of the lap (mainly the last turn).

Very nice driving! It’s cool to see your lap times get better as you turned more laps.

Thanks! I'm well off being a pro of any sort, but I'm always trying to improve my craft while I have fun.

This was great To watch! definitely want to bring my STI out there. Hope it can perform
@LapoftheWorld3 жыл бұрын
Do it! The shorter gearing on the STI (vs my car) will help on the backside / technical section I think. I coached a guy with a blob-eye STI at NCCAR a few years ago and was jealous of the torque, lol.
