Hate to correct you, but I have to just because others will be looking at this install. 1) the diagram macht schnell sent you is correct, but it is for a clockwise rotating power steering pulley. It looks like they sent you a new power steering pulley and belt for clockwise,.. those are the wrong parts if that m3 has a counterclockwise PSP like mine. 2) they belts should never touch, or ride together, regardless of the direction of your pwp. 3) for counterclockwise, the pwp belt should be grooved on both sides, and alternator belt should have grooves only on one side of the "belt interior". 4) always remove the driver's side radiator hose. if you break the nipple you have to install a new hose anyway, so take the time and remove it to have proper clearance. Here is what I think happened. The extra diameter on the PSP is causing the belts to ride too close together, which is why they are touching. I appreciate your post! That will be helpful for others. However, I'm 100% positive that ours is installed correctly. There is also a different kit based on the model year of your car. I had another guy reach out to me saying that his was incorrect and he followed both mine AND MS's install videos (and a few others) and his orientation was incorrect. Later, we discovered that based on his model year, a different kit was produced. We have had zero issues since this install. And yes, I agree that removing the driver's side radiator hose would be a good idea to do from the get-go. Otherwise, you end up breaking the nipple off like I did, then have to wait a few days for a new part to arrive. I have seen a ton of posts about people breaking these and I honestly dont know how people have been able to remove the radiator without breaking it.

How do you soak up the spilled coolant from the trax flooring you have? Doesnt it go through the floor grid and now you have a puddle underneath the flooring?

The tiles are very easy to pull up. I just uses a paint can opener, or a flathead screw driver and pull up individual tiles if I need to clean up a spill. Very simple!

hey i noticed in the video you took only six t45 torx bolts to take off the crank pully, but on my e92 m3 there are 4 e12 bolts as well. how do i remove those without the pully spinning? I didnt see you guys do this step in the video

What year is your car? There are different versions of the Macht Schnell Underdrive Pulley kit depending on your year. So you likely have the incorrect one.

Why is my last crank pulley bolt never aligned? All 5 bolts are loosely threaded in, whenever i tried to thread the 6th one, it never lined up. Did u have that problem when u installed ur crank pulley?

When the belts are touching, like it is on the bottom of the power steering pulley, wouldn't that wear them out and cause a belt failure?

That is certainly quite possible. I'm not sure if other pulley kits are different, but this is how the Macht Schnell has to go. There is no other way.

@@accelerated_motion some other pulley kits only replace the crank pulley, so maybe that’s the way to go. I just had my mechanic try to install the macht Schnell ones and he said there wasn’t enough room under the power steering pulley because it’s larger.

I agree! This car needs all the torque you can get! Unfortunately, there isnt a ton you can do without going forced induction. A tune will help slightly though, so I would recommend doing that as well if you havent yet. I recommend BPM Sport for a tune - I did a few previous videos on BPM so go check them out! @@chongerly5233 There isnt much you can do to add torque to these cars unfortunately. Harrop would be the best for torque. But yes, expensive.
