I'm 42 years old, this man (Gilmour too for his part in the magic) has fascinated me, in a very spiritual sense he has had a great deal to do with raising me up in this world-Pink Floyd has been my favorite band since I was 2 yrs old! My Dad is responsible for introducing me to the band as he was a mega fan himself. I am extremely passionate about music and thus consider it to be a real gift of supernatural quality when introduced to a band or musician I otherwise had no idea existed. Especially if that band turns out to be Pink Floyd and have a profound impact on the essence of who I am, and how I feel emotion and see beauty. For this reason it was a dream of mine to experience PF live with Dad. Kind of a full circle ideology I guess. I finally got the chance last July when Roger was in Toronto for his This is Not A Drill tour. Experiencing that with my Dad was profoundly transcendental. By the following September 22nd at 8:24 p.m, Dad passed away from cancer. Now I believe some kind of force parted seas to allow this experience to happen and here's why .,.. 1- Roger does not play live very often here. Last time he was in Toronto before that was 2002! 2- Dad was very against getting the vaccine and events such as a concert were requiring proof of vaccination and there is not a chance he would 3- Lastly how quickly he was gone from this world afterwards. Everything just fell into the proper place and we saw the show. I'm so grateful to whatever forces made that happen for us. Pink Floyd had always been a passionate bond between us and experiencing Roger live, together was the mortar in the brick Wall (wow, lol no pun intended)

The album is superb, most of us know why, I'll leave it at that. I'm so glad Roger made this little vid, it would be an education to those Floyd fans who, "just don't get it". With respect to Gilmour, he was a great musician and singer on DSOTM, the concept is what makes the art though

Thanks from the bottom of my heart ~ and the bottom of our COLLECTIVE HEART(s) ~ You've always been a "hero" to me, and maybe not a "war hero", or policeman, fireman, etc. etc., but for having always remained outspoken and clear about what you're trying to get across in both your lyrics and public spoken messages, for the past forty years (at least) your lyrical genius has struck a bell deep within me, and resonated... and it's still resonating, to this day. I'm happy you are able to wave away all the naysayers (and there's quite a lot of 'em, too, eh?) and stay fixed and true to your dream. Thank you for taking the TIME not only to be who you are, digging in deep and providing us with all the music and words over the years, but for never giving up in the face of adversity. Thanks for takin the time to go over your DSOTM Redux *track by track*, I'm very glad I was able to watch and listen to this video during its premiere. It's something that everyone should really hear. I've always believed in you and your messages, your lyrics -- your POETRY -- and it's a terrific vindication to have what you've done and what you DO repeatedly justified, behind brown eyes (I don't know what color your eyes are, just saying) and a true face. I've always admired that about you, the fact you've lived your life, *despite massive commercial and artistic success, mind you*, without wearing any sort of mask to hide behind. No rollerblind eyes for you, dear sir. Thank you. A million times over, THANK YOU ROGER WATERS for being true to yourself and everyone you ever meet. You'll never be forgotten. P.S. And thanks for not retiring... you are an inspiration to LIVE LIFE to the fullest, and I among many others the world over remain truly grateful. ~Shaun Lawton ~;^\~ aka "Luciferal" / "Thornswrath" / etc.
