Guages are crude? I love analog guages. Takes effort on the manufacturers part to make them. If anything the screen based instruments seem cheap to me. If I'm spending that kinda money on a car I don't want to look at the same screen technology as my cheap tablet

The NSX and Honda s2000 were both around for a decade + with minor upgrades here and there throughout their life. Everyone at the time for both the s2000 and NSX complained that they were old and outdated toward the end of their life. Now, both the S2000 and NSX are appreciating in value at an alarming rate. Why mess with something that works? Case in point -- the GTR. For crying out loud, it still does 0-60 in 3 seconds! You have to love internet keyboard warriors that drive a Honda Civics and can't afford a GTR making these negative comments. The GTR is still competitive despite it's chassis age.

Soren Lausen. The only problem is that the car is getting long in the tooth, looks outdated in the interior, maintenance costs are still insane. There are Too many cars, Zl1, GT 350R, Corvette Grand Sport, ZO6, He'll Cat are all performing similar numbers and giving cars two to three times there price a run for their money. I would buy a ZL1 , ZO6 , GT 350R cost less than 2017 GTR..

You are so correct sir. Everything you said is true. I will only add Porsche uses a similar tactic with their 911 line and no one complains. Can't please everyone.

It’s hard to improve on such a supercar-like starting point, but it should’ve at least become more attainable/affordable (ie: bring down the entry-level supercar bar, like the original NSX or Corvette C8 did) instead it did the opposite, without any noteworthy additions to justify the price increases. Kind of like the timeline with their own 300ZX

I don't get wheel mounted paddles over column. My DCT has wheel mounted. It's a pain in the ass to shift gears while turning. I guess it's possibly more dangerous to have to pop a hand off the wheel onto the column. Guess I just answered my own question.

I love GTRs but it's pricey with no real improvements. This is NOT the car for value when you can pick up a used AMG GTS Mercedes, or a Porsche 991 GT3, for low $110K to mid $140K, (or other car) which would be MUCH more car for the value. IF you buy, buy older pre-owned low mileage, or cheaper higher mileage and spend the rest of the budget upgrading everything for MUCH less than a 2017 Nismo or track edition. The 2017 is just pointless as the improvements are so small. The car still has a relatively cheap feeling interior, aged gauge cluster, no refinements, still quite heavy and clunky. Then again, it's your money.
@vir1234567 жыл бұрын

Um the ZL1 already smoked the GTR on a road course, along with a lot of other more exotic cars from Porsche, Lamborghini, Ferrari... so... The GTR is quicker from a dead stop with its AWD, but from a punch, I don't think so. So for more than double the money you get what I think is an ugly car with overall less performance. The GTR used to be a performance king years ago, not any longer. Like I said it has gotten old and overpriced, and I have always thought it is ugly, but you could excuse the looks because it was a performance bargain, well not any more.
