stock the cftp gt500 runs within a sec or faster than cars like the Ferrari f8 tributo Lamborghini huracan evo and porsche gt3rs. which all of those are about 5 seconds faster than a c8. So i understand why so many supercar owners who know cars buy gt500s because its a supercar for a fraction of the price. Plus most qould say they like the gt500 brakes on the track over most supercars and the dct they compare with a porsche pdk . its amazing what ford did qith a car that weighs hellcat weight

these things are smashing track records in modified class with just tunes and pulley swap. ive also seen ppl put gt350 brakes on them to get a shorter wider wheel and tire setup which blew me away someone would pull the carbon wheels and brakes to track . i say adjust to a track tune which palm beach dyno has kept dialed in pretty good. Go with a cup 2 or slick get the track pack wing and you will see some differences

one thing i always ask ppl even if wheels and tires have been changed ppl sometimes are totally not noticing the delivery pucks are still in.

justins a little wrong roll race they are great dragracing they are finally not designed for. the whole reason they used a DCT was to be fast on road course. You cant expect the base handing pack to do what the cftp does. For a big front engine rwd to beat or tie modern supercars with damn near the same powet. That means gt500 can handle. if it was just the power getting it aroun the track then why does lambos Ferrari etc have less weight and almost same power with mid engine run same times stock!? becase they handle. of course its easier to drive a mid engine car around the track . But the gt500 makes you a better driver and the better you get the faster you go . Apposed to a mclaren you are gonna get the same time over and over and then be in the shop for a few weeks after every track day. Gt500 you will be rewarded. Turn your 500 down a bit get some tires and the cftp wing or better and when you get faster and faster you will feel like you are learning and successful. get back in a supercar you qill feel like a champion driver even when going slower it will be so easy to drive good most we have learned froom the 500 is they dont like drag racing like a 6r80 or 10r80 mustang so go tht way if planning drag racing. for roadcourse go gt500 or gt350 just learn tune and build to where it benefits not hurts the car on roadcourse. roll racing gt500 works great because the dct and weight of tbe car she has to be moving

I think the reason it was cutting out is from fuel slash. When on a turn the gas stays on one side of the tank which doesn't allow the pumps to suck enough fuel. Try running the car on more than half a tank to see if that would eliminate that problem.

Had the same problem, the fix is a full tank of fuel.

Exactly this. I have a Fore triple pump return system. On hard or extended left turns it cuts out just like that if there is less than 3/4 tank.

A hydromat the width of the tank would probably help too so that way it's always picking up fuel.

There definitely is options. They’re oem ford parts. You have a base gt500. They’re 6-8 seconds slower on the same track as the track pack cars. Get a track pack or put track pack suspension on yours.

Like was said the gt500 has the ultimate suspension setup. For all around use. You can daily drive it and not break your back, you can go drag racing and hook and you can go around a track pretty quick or at least quick enough for 99% of owners but if you need that performance on the very edge some changes need to be made.

Definitely check those spark plugs and maybe put a scope in to look at those piston tops and cylinder walls or compression and leak down test it. Lean plus boost equals carnage quick. I know you know this all too well and feel like I'm stating the obvious but catching a small problem now can save you lots of money later.

Throwing suspension parts on a car without maxing out the car's capabilities won't give you the gains you are looking for. This was the first time with it on track and you guys want to throw parts on it. Seat time. Seat time is what you need before parts. Adding parts is only going to mask your lack of experience. Better tires should be next then suspension once you figure out the car.

Very true! This car already has Proxes RR tires, so they’re pretty phenomenal. Seat time is a must though!

@@itsjusta6official I’m afraid those Proxes are outmatched by a number of tires. If you’re looking for a good road course, streetable tire that you can drive to and from the track with the Goodyear Supercar 3/Supercar 3R, Hankook R4S, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 are good options. I used the Supercar 3 on my 1LE and were very good. Good wear & traction. The 3R is a step up. Have you gone to DOT4 brake fluid yet? If not you may want to because the faster you get you increase the chance of boiling your fluid. You’ll quickly find out the capacity of your pants when the brake pedal goes to the floor. ✌🏻

Get a colab together with Speed Phenom who has a ton of experience in a gt500 on track and suspension set up for the car with stock suspension and literally can drive the tires off it. Would be a great video to see!
