First Time at Race Track in my 1,300hp GT350! *sad end* :(

After getting a new set of street wheels for Lucifer, my twin turbo GT350, I had to take it to the track to see how it would do with Motec and 1,300 Horsepower!

Little thing that might help with fuel cut on the track is flapper valves next to the pump. Basically a box around the pump that has a flapper valve. That box keeps fuel next to the pump and will prevent fuel starvation in the corners. Edit: Taking this from my A&P classes. Learned about aircraft fuel systems and maintenance

Yes that is the issue my car does the same thing since I got a triple pump fuel system. The fuel pumps do not have the stock fuel tub anymore so you have to run a full tank of gas to get it to work.

Gavin I tried messaging you on Instagram but no response, anyway it’s your fuel system. Same problem we had in our 2020 GT500. The fuel hat doesn’t suck fuel on both sides. Only left turns will it do this. Need to swap to stock style fuel system not return style system. Also on E85 don’t run below half a tank on track. With return fuel system the car just driving normally will only grab about 3/4 of a tank. Stock fuel hat sits on the bottom so it catches all the fuel.

from a circle track racer, we pack the fuel cell slam full of foam, that way it prevents sloshing and that way a the fuel pump has a direct feed all the time. digging the content!

Love to see the Mustang action! The GT350 threw me at first because at low to mid RPM it sounded like a VW bug. But that Coyote looked and sounded awesome! @@Lord_Zore when the timing goes the valves make contact and it is not pretty ... if oil leve was way off it could have something to do...especially if it was low .. low oil = less pressure which could cause timing to slack and boom 💥...not sure really just pure speculation

Stupid 720’s and their floating rods. Same thing happened to DDE’s 720. Gintanni ended up showing how the rod bearings are loose tolerance to the crank plus thin to save rotating mass. Sorry about the motor Justin but it seems like a great time to upgrade. As for the Shelby’s either baffled tank, fuel bladder or surge tank may help. Great content as always Gavin !!!

When I built one of my old IS300s, I did a lot of cooling mods. Bigger rad, oil cooler, diff cooler, brake ducts, all of that. Cooking is your friend

You need to go on track with a full tank off gas so that the pumps can pump enough gas to the motor. Thats why the car is lean cutting

hey gavin a lil tip for when the wheels are pain in arse to get off use a metal brush and clean the rust of the hub and it helps for not having stuck tire to hubs

I'm not a pro but I'd suggest run data logger and have someone that is known for track tunes look at both gt500 and lucifer. Gotta be a programming issue when your running hot on straightaway. Then off throttle for turn I'm pretty positive it can be dealt with.

Glad it was a simple fix with Lucifer and it performed well. Danny and nick both did amazing with their runs as well and funny reactions from Nick. Unfortunately the 720 went I did not know that overfilling the oil by accident would do that much damage even in a short amount of time. Edit: keep up the great work and I know Justin will have it back up and running soon and Danny needs to take his Z out there.

You can.. just make sure you get coolers.. ecoboosts turn in and change direction better than 5.0s because of the reduced weight over the front end

Anyone else notice the brake lights are orange? Love the clear tail lights on this car but ever since the last time the lights were put in theyve been orange (probably because of the third brake light wire not being hooked up) and it drives me nuts 😂

The tail lights are actually supposed to be like that. The euro tail lights come like that but you can switch modes with them if you don't like the color also.
