Got pilot sport 4S on my M140i xdrive, the best tyre for any sports car all round. Daily, track and in rain always have full grip. Only better tyre is the cup2 but that's track based.

We get the idea, but the Michelin PS4S is a road tire, not a track tire. Take the Michelin to a track day and is probably going to overheat most of the time. A Pilot Sport Cup would be a more adequate comparison

If you did a get the pressure right for on track it will sustain max grip, tyre has its limits but you don't drive track with this type of tyre in 40C°, in a normal summer day of 20/25C° it won't overheat.

For anyone getting into drifting, your local owned tire shop is your best friend. Let them know what you're doing, and odds are you walk out with a car full of half tread used tires for free. Saves them the disposal cost, and you get more money for track days. When you get to higher levels of drifting, it's worth investing in new tires, but saving the money and learning how to slide around on free tires, that's the best way to start!

God I love my 4S setup. 888Rs wore a bit too quickly and the Viper ACR some Kumhos aren’t even legal at many tracks. PS Cups are basically slicks for wear. 4S just hits all the marks.

You can definitely drift with track tires, a lot of guys go from time attack to drift using the same tires, just takes the right balance and patience to find the right tire. Of course if budget isn’t ur thing then go for it, buy a dedicated tire for each style of driving. Lots of high grip drift tires can be great for track days

I have bfg gforce comp 2 as+ that replaced mich pilot sport 3 on my accord 6-6 HFP for being a piggy with a 64/36 weight dist, never lost grip whipping it around hills and corners up north. I think they're better than the 3S's I have Falken AT3W LTs on my gx I'm not saying I did 80 on seasonal rd outside the Porkies, but yeah. They didn't slide around on very loose terrain at speed so

Sorry, 4s is not a track tire, but a normal road tire. Michelin Cup 2 or better Cup 2R is the ultimate road sports and track tire. In Europe, the best street legal tire that you can use for the race track. All 911 GT RS [2 and 3) and otter sports cars on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife are equipped with Cup 2 or Cup 2R tires. Everyone saying here PS4S is not a track tyre dont know much about the tyre at all. On a cloudy day with 10 drops of rain you would be everywhere on the track with the cup2, not with the 4s, they handle very well in the rain unlike the cup2.

Those Michelin tires might be good on track but if you wanna drive hard on backroads where the ground is a little uneven in the corners, these tires will attempt to end you because their bouncy. Just get the continental contactsport 6, harder tire which have proveded me with way more grip. Also Michelin lies about third sizes, I got 255 that was as wide as 275 which resulted in not even fitting on the car and when I got the correct tire size on the next set they were completely hopeless. Even after 5000km they was still sheit. Don’t buy them. Also anyone living in Sweden who wanna buy Pilotsport 4S 255/30r19 tires? Because I couldn’t return them.
