Looks like a good platform for LiFePO4. I might consider it then. Never with flooded lead acid. Thanks for the good review.

Tracker did come out with a new EV that has lithium batteries. www.trackeroffroad.com/side-by-side/ox-ev.html My fantasy is that they will see enough of my videos to offer me the chance to review the new UTV.

Thanks to you, I bought this same vehicle 2 months ago. Loved it until this morning when it would not turn on. Turn key and nothing happens. Had 3/4 charge last night. Hooked up Charger just in case. Nothing. Have you had same experience? Any suggestions? Its still under warranty, so will call them monday. Just thought you might know something to try. Thanks...

No I have not had this issue. However I'm sure others will want to know what you find to be the issue and how hard it is to get it resolved. Please keep us updated. Thanks.

@@bonesetranch Just got Tracker EV back from Cabella's. It was a bad Brake Relay located in fuse box in right rear corner of battery compartment. They had to order it from factory. They are going to order me several extra to have on hand.Its an easy 5 minute swap out. Hope this can help out others...

What is the mileage range you get out of a charge?
@davidsbigfeet2712 жыл бұрын
Blown relay happened again. Thats two in 11 months. Still under warrenty, so had to drag it on to trailer and drive 1 hour to Cabella's. They checked out charger and the rest of electrical circuits looking for any cause. Nothing was found wrong. I bought the only extra relay they had for $20. At this rate I need 2 a year. Thinking about by-passing relay with a jumper wire with on/off toggle switch.

@@davelara1812 Never checked mileage on road. Only use on farm. Have 1.3 miles of trails that we take guest on. Mostly flat ground. Can do that 4 times before needing charge.

One more question where did you get that garden tool rack on the driver's side of the EV?
@bonesetranch3 жыл бұрын
Those are Kolpin Rhino Grips purchased from Amazon, our modern day Sears Catalog.

How do you charge it? What type of connector or adapter do you need? Do you have to have a special charger installed?
@bonesetranch3 жыл бұрын
It comes with a charger that plugs into both 110v for slower charges and 220v for faster charges. The charger has a cord that is plugged into the Tracker.

@@bonesetranch is the battery a special battery from Tracker or is it 6 12 V batteries in parallel?
@bonesetranch3 жыл бұрын
@@prgilb01 The batteries are six ACM batteries. They're higher density than standard car lead acid batteries so replacing them I have no idea how long down the road will take some specialized knowledge. I'm hoping by then to have examples of people retrofitting with lithium or other technology batteries.

Someone told me that the Tracker EV iS is the same cart as the old Textron Bad Bad Recoil iS. Do you know if that’s true?
@bonesetranch3 жыл бұрын
Tracker Off Road was built on Textron in general and the EV is clearly based on the original Textron model, but I haven't experienced anything that I would consider a recoil. Do you have more to explain of what the issue was for the old Textron version? I can let you know if I have had any of the same experience.
@jeremyb.34543 жыл бұрын
No issue. The Recoil was one of the models of Textron Bad Boy. The Recoil had iS and a Crew (4 forward facing seats) editions.

Any videos going up and down a steep driveway or path would be very much appreciated -- sort of like the tractor hill challenge you did.
@bonesetranch3 жыл бұрын
The steepest average slope I'm driving on here is 25% on clay soil. There is a 30% dirt grade that I have braved with my tractor (see the tractor hill climb video) that I don't have the cajones to try with the Tracker EV. I might try your paved slope, but only if it is relatively short without any cross slope complications.

Posted a video this morning. Took the video yesterday to show my wife the improvements I made on our trail. It's rough but it gives you an idea of how it goes up the hill.
@leenicholson69193 жыл бұрын
@@bonesetranch Thank you so much! That initial grade looks a lot like what I have. My advantage will be that mine is very level side-to-side. My path steepness looks most like the side of your hill off to the right at 1:21. I really do appreciate you doing this!!!

Hi can you get it with a dump box
@bonesetranch2 жыл бұрын
Not in the electric model. I can't say for sure since I have never owned a UTV with a dump bed, but for my situation, the convertibility between 4 passengers to utility vehicle is more useful.

@davidsbigfeet had the same issue. It turned out to be a bad brake relay, located in the battery compartment under the seat. Good news is that if that is it, it's a quick fix. Hopefully it is something simple like that for you. Keep posting here if you find the problem.
@410farm3 жыл бұрын
Do you know where that’s located ?
@bonesetranch3 жыл бұрын
Under the seat on the passenger side on the back wall facing the rear. The main battery cable leads into the top of the relay, there are a couple smaller leads there too and the main cable then travels on to another location from there. You should hear an audible click there when you switch it on to R or D. If you are not hearing a click when you do that, the relay is likely your trouble.
@bonesetranch3 жыл бұрын
I was just reading @Davidsbigfeet 's reply below and he was saying that the brake relay is on the right hand side by the fuses. The relay I am referring to may be a different one. But all the same, the one I refer to does click when power is turned on and it clicks when I switch from reverse to forward. The best bet is probably to get it to Cabellas/Bass Pro for warranty service if that is where you purchased the EV.

This video is ok, But if you want to show how well your EV does why did you show only the passengers 90% of the time instead of the direction the EV is going? Make another video...Other than that your narration was good.
