thanks for the video, interesting and useful for a 71 yr old. Will get onto these tests

It looks like your tattoo is basically gone! Would you be interested in doing another tattoo removal video now that it’s all gone to discuss how the last sessions went?

Yeh it's practically gone now! I uploaded a session 10-12 video and 12 was my final one. It did continue to fade for another 6-9 months and I put a final picture up in my article 9to5strength.com/laser-tattoo-removal-before-and-after/

Honestly i think the dead hang test is not reliable because of the great amount of uncertainty casted by all the psychological factors you may be experiencing in the moment leaving a higher margin of error compared to other tests and takes more time too. Grip strenght is faster and easier to measure and if you take more data points (once a week or every other day) it would make the prediction much more valuable and precise, clean from confounding variables

That's a fair point, it's similar to some of the estimated VO2 max tests in the sense that it comes down to mental strength & motivation as much as the physical body. I'm also realising that putting some of these on a more frequent cadence, like maximal grip strength, builds a much better picture over time. There will be tests which differ as much year to year as they might on consecutive days

@@9to5strength Yess, the experiments you're doing that excite me the most are the hair related ones since hair regrowth seems to be really difficult and people generally give up
