Join Kyle for an unbelievable day of buck tracking on snow in the big woods of Maine! After a week of hard hunting, with many miles on the boots and missing a shot at a huge buck, he is able to push through and catch up with a big Northern Maine buck… truly a dream come true! This is the FINALE of a 4 Part mini-series documenting Kyle's adventure of tracking down a big Maine buck on his first trip up to the North Woods. This series captures the real, raw ups and downs of tracking bucks and the perseverance it takes to be successful. Be sure to go back and watch the series from the beginning if you want to see how the week led up to this successful day.
A special thanks goes out to my good friend Morgan (@huntswildgame) for inviting me up to camp to hunt for the week! Be sure to check out his page Northern East Heavyweight Whitetails (NEHW) on Facebook: m. groups/3658378... and Instagram!

That's right!! Thanks John! Wouldn't have it any other way. There's something truly special about being way out there away from civilization and 1 on 1 with a buck. There's nothing better! Congrats on all of your success over the years. I hope to continue doing it for many many years to come.

This is exactly how I hunted in northern Montana. I always had my rattling horns with me. When close I would sometimes bring them to me with the horns. Worked quite often. Michigan, 👎👎very poor state. All broken up into small parcels of private property. 😢

@@rogerramjet7567 That’s awesome Roger! Thanks for sharing! I’ve had success with grunting while tracking but never tried rattling. Same concept, either looking for a fight or just curious to see who’s in his territory! Exciting stuff

I agree with that 100% . I’ve stated that a few times on similar videos of guys tracking big woods bucks and how much work and skill is involved. And a few times I got negative comments back from hunters that sit in heated blinds and love it. Never meant any disrespect to any hunters. I hunt from a tree stand most often. I’ve tried tracking with very very limited success. So I always give respect to the guys willing to put the work in and get the job done. CONGRATULATIONS

@@buddy22801012 Thanks Buddy! I completely agree with you, there is absolute nothing wrong with someone taking a deer by stand hunting or other means, as long as it’s legal. We are all entitled to hunt our own preferred way and there’s nothing wrong with that. For me personally, I’ve done both and nothing is more rewarding than working hard for them and shooting one tracking. The challenge and sense of accomplishment is unmatched in my opinion. Thanks for the comment! Appreciate it 🙏🏻

Congratulations on your perseverance and success. Sorry about the loss of your father too early in your life. You honored him and the deer, very fitting. My eyes watered up hearing you talk about your father and the little birds. Reminds me of my father who gave me my start fishing and hunting and I treasure his memory too. Enjoy each day, our lives are so short. Again congratulations!

What agreat hunt and story!! I know what you are talking about with the birds and your Dad... I was on a tough track.. Pin pricks of blood. No snow.. I stuck with it, thinking about my Dad telling me about tough track jobs.. I heard this really odd bird call. Almost above me. I swear, it was staying just ahead of me. It would "sing" keeping me on the track... Well, I kept going and I heard it BEHIND me! I stood there and heard it again. I walked back to the spot where I heard it. I looked downhill and there was the deer. It made a 90 degree left turn and dropped. And the bird??? I never saw it and I didn't hear it again.

A few years back i tore my acl, had surgery late sept, and had one of those massive knee braces for the 2013 season. Did a lot of sitting that year, and this one day i had been sitting for about an hr, and decided to move. I got up, with my walking stick, and was surprised to see a chickadee land on the end of the barrel of my whelen. That was a first for me, so i said hi, it flew off, and i looked down the log road i was on and there stood a buck, staring at me. I didn't get him that day, but i did get him the day after. Those chickadee's might just be on to something. Great job, Kyle!!

Thanks Brennan! Love the dedication you had to still get out there, regardless of the knee surgery! There is definitely something to be said about wildlife feeling safe around other wildlife, but those chickadees and I definitely have a special bond! I'd say that buck sure was lucky that day because you don't let many get past you from what I've seen. Thanks for the comment and support as always! Appreciate it a ton.
