Tracks vs Tires On John Deere Combine

We've had tracks for a couple of years now. So what's better, tracks or tires?

Thanks. Good job. How about durability? I wonder how well they wear versus tires and also the cost difference if you were to buy new tracks versus 4 new tires? I'm guessing you don't keep them long enough to have experience with this. And - above I am just thinking about replacing the tracks. I wonder if the other 5 rollers wear out. Also - general question - is road travel hard on tires? Hard on tracks? Thanks

Crown of the road can cause some tire wear. Our 2013 8360R is still on it's original tires. Front starting to wear a little faster from running over stubble in no till. Rears pretty good.

I used to hate tracks on everything. Then I sat in a quadtrac and an 8rt for a season.

Any inner wear on the tracks due to camber on roads We suffer badly in the uk with inner half of the track as we have quite a crest down the centre of our back roads

I'm sure after a few seasons it might t start to show wear like that. Happens to tires too.

One brand new combine at the time I made the video tracks cost about $90,000 more than tires.

Maybe overnight during harvest but generally not for long stretches.
