Thanks Darren. It wasn't one of my best videos in so far as the old camcorder i was using was playing up and cutting off some of the scenes to early, but hey ho, at least it gives you an idea of how good it was at the time.

Lovely vid. Interesting to see one of the 33'2s that ran on the Hastings line down here. I lived further up the line at Farnborough and never copped one. They were all based at Hither Green

73104 hauling the 4REP and 4TC sets is one of the temporary formations. During the construction of the class 442s, some of the motors from the 4REPs were to be reused in the 442s, as these were not life expired. So, to provide the neccessary motors, a driving car from a 4REP was taken out, to allow its motors to be sent to BREL Derby, where the 442s were being built. In its place, a class 73/1 was used to provide power, as the other motors on some other 4REP coaches could also be removed.

Dunno what 73126 may have been on at4:18, with what looked like a mixed rake of Mk 1 stock with GUV leading and 93 headcode? 93 was the code for Bournemouth - Waterloo stoppers, which were nearly always VEPs 🤔

Hi Eddie and thanks for watching my channel. I can't remember exactly if the 73's worked down the Weymouth branch on a regular basis although i know the 33/1's did, but you're right about them seemingly working a lot of passenger services at this time. Strangely enough i have just re-worked this video to make the sceen bigger and will be re- posting it very soon as a nostalgia classic. Thanks for your comments and please keep watching.

Hi Brian, he had a rather annoying habit of either getting in the way or talking to me while i was recording. I know he didn't mean to but just never thought about what he was doing i guess. Worst thing was kneeling down to take a photo right in front of me then standing up in front of the view finder. Thanks for watching by the way.

I do get your point and understand your dissapointment but in my defence i was a total beginer back then and if you look at my more up to date videos you will see that i do indeed capture the whole train and not just the loco. I have nothing against constructive criticism by the way, so thanks for your comments.
