This was a really interesting video. I used to go to auctions with my dad but haven’t gone since he passed away. Interesting to see what things go for now. Would absolutely watch more of these kinds of vids. Maybe you guys should visit the auctions more often. Perhaps even see what auctions are like in different parts of the country too. 🤔

Good video to show folks how these things happen but I didn't see anything I would consider "cheap" for used equipment. And even under no pressure, while watching the video, I couldn't keep up with the bidding and auctioneer--I'd end up bidding against myself!! I used to go to auctions with my Dad.....boring day for a kid...wait all day for something to come to bid and then it would go too high, or Dad would pay too much and have to fix it when we got it home. He bought a combine one time and it wouldn't fit through the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel to get it home....had to flatten the tires to get it through...good times, good times.

I thought you summed it up nicely….”It’s not easy to buy at an auction”. You can do your homework, inspect, perform due diligence but in the end it amounts to what the risk and value is to you. Fun to watch, regardless. Blessings.

Thank you for the coverage of the tractors and the attachments Tim. The more we use our tractors, the more we want to use them. Getting attachments way cheaper than new makes it a little easier to get approval from the finance committee too. Really great information to have when shopping for tractors and attachments.

Backhoe went cheap but other items were shocking... better to find a deal online and go spend some time viewing it. In Canada by the time you pay the fees and get out the door it's better to buy new or find a farmer who needs it gone

On the market place on Facebook looking for either a rear blade or even a 2 bottom plow people are asking twice the original price and the pieces are in pretty bad shape. Years back I bought a 2 bottom plow from someone on craigslist and it was cheap but I retired and moved to Florida didn't need it anymore but now moved to Missouri it's a different story. The prices for say a tiller are just out of this world!

I like the way you edited the video. Short to the point. While yes some may have seemed like junk, and sold cheap. Many of those would probably go another 5 years with limited use. Case in point was my Brush cutter, after the first year of relatively hard use, I use probably 2 hours max. twice a year to keep the mess from growing back, and have had it 5 years. There were a few bargains to be had, That box blade you were pointing out was a steal at $600.

I happen to have a few of the items sold such as the KK tiller, 60" one, and 72" grader blade. Gives me an idea what their value may be if I decide to sell at any time. What I would like to see is what hay equipment is selling for. Last year picked up three items, one being a rake like the one sold for $1300. They all needed work, but I got all three for under $3500. The rake needed the most work, and by the time the parts were all purchased, it cost about what that rake sold for, but it is like new now. The baler just needs a bearing and new chains, the mower needs a new sickle bar and some welding where the tow bar engages, the mower was ditched which cracked the bar at the mid point hole, and bent the sheet metal a bit, but easily fixed. Paid $1600 for it, a JD 1209.
