I have a 7110. Love it! Had the door bracket break like yours. Found the best fix was to drill through the bracket and door. Fitted it with 2 painted bolts so it wouldn't stick out from the outside. Takes a lot of a pull to get that door open, and everything else I did kept breaking unfortunately. Haven't had to fix it since.

I bought a CM bed for a F250 I had. It was well built. They are sold by dealers all over. Just search for CM truck beds. These beds come with lights and wiring harness that plugs into your truck wiring. Most already have a rear bumper with trailer hitch and a goose neck hitch.

Eby makes one of the best aluminum flatbeds. Cannonball makes a good steel one, and an option is a bale carrier which can be adapted to load/ unload the tank, as well as an ATV, and also unroll bales. Don't worry about cutting the hook off, in 10 years of having a bed tank, we never used the hooks to remove or install the tank. Pallet is a good idea, and rails are a really neat thing for holding jugs and tools. You are thinking forward! Happy Thanksgiving to all y'all!

That really is a nice looking tractor Aaron. And it sounds like it starts and runs really nice and smooth too. Get the hub duals if you can. You will be much happier. I ran into the same problem with the lifting loop on my service tank when I went to installing the pump. I just welded it back on on the other side... I see you have the saggy celing in your cab. Open your roof and check if mice have been in up there. Good idea mounting that tank on a pallet.. You can move it to another vehicle or just take it off the pickup easily with your Bobcat..... I've heard you mention an off the farm job several times. If you don't mind my asking, what do you do? If you don't want to say for any reason, I understand.

At the heavy equipment shop I worked in the 80s and 90s, we used NAPA and Wix filters with no issues. In particular the "new" L10 Cummins and the stalwart 855's. If remember right the only difference between Wix and NAPA was the prefix #, else the same. My Cummins story is worthwhile, the construction equipment historically was Detroit Diesels. Good engines and around for decades. But Cummins made solid inroads into the off-highway market then. 1500hrs rebuild was typical for Detroits. But Cummins we could go well past 2000hrs, plenty of power, maybe use more oil but generally great engines. I suspect that Cummins in that IH is very much like those off-highway engines, very durable.
@JulianKeller-om6wzАй бұрын
Never figured out why anyone would want a freaking screamin' Detroit when you could have a Cummins or a Cat.
@davepatti2296Ай бұрын
@@JulianKeller-om6wz There was a time you couldn't get a Cat or Cummins in off highway construction or Ag equipment. Detroit Diesels were very dependable, came in 2, 3, 4, inline 6, V6, V8 (V12 and V16). The slightly higher RPM was great for the big aircompressors (RPM=CFM). They were also less expensive to rebuild. It wasn't until the mid 80s and into the 90s where 2 strokes were falling out of favor, and Cummins was picking up the slack. Lots of things have changed, but there were reasons for things in the past.

Good video (as we've come to expect...) but it's a shame you had to cut off your tank's lifting eye. But for better balance, should you ever want to lift it straight out of your bed, weld it back on the opposite side of the tank. The tank will hang straight then. Thanks for posting. Y'all are sittin' fat post harvest----able to afford not only oil but new FILTERS too! Exciting times. Go Gieroks all!

What year is your Chev truck? Before you go too far with a flat deck, check your frame and cross members for rust. I have a 2014 that needs 3 cross members and the frame is cracked under the passenger side. Very low mileage and year it was rust-proofed. Great looking 7120. Love watching your videos. Good luck.

my recommendation would be to don't bother with hub duals, stick to what you got, its easier in the long run to deal with, hub duals are only good if you plan to put them on or take off all the time. but i would suggest changing the duals and the rear tires out from running tubes to a tubeless setup, its not a hard conversion, you only need the tire to be the tubeless variant and then you need a valve/valve stem that specific for running that setup, its so much better in the long run, not having to worry about tubes.

I don't wanna be a sour grape but im not a fan of napa filters but each their own. Happy farming 😊
@JulianKeller-om6wzАй бұрын
I'm with you 100%. I'll be the sour grape. It irritates me when brands like Baldwin and Wix and NAPA and others say their filters are just as good as the Deere or Case or Cat or whatever OEM filters. I call BS on that. So they are a little cheaper. So what. Using the best filters, air and all the oil and fuel filters, is the cheapest insurance you can buy for your tractors and other farm equipment. And the best filters are the OEM filters. Do your research. Cut some open and compare them. Get the specs and compare the filtration levels. Look at your investment. What did you pay for your tractor, or combine, or whatever? Is it really not worth a few extra bucks to protect it with the best filters that were designed for it? Same with oil. Yes, they all meet the MINIMUM specs. Again, is it worth a few bucks to jepordize the performance and wear and longevity of the internal components of your investment with MINIMUM protection? Are those few bucks really gonna make a big difference financially for you at the end of the year? The cost of using inferior filters and oil can be a hell of a lot more than those few extra dollars for the OEM oil and filters. If you want to take the best care of your tractors and such that you can, and extend the life of it, using OEM filters and oil is the best, and in the long run, cheapest place to start.
