I disagree with both points you make there. I felt the TYM is heavier built. It has more capacity and it has mechanical fuel injection instead of computer controlled. The Mahindra didn’t have a DPF filter as you mentioned, but it does have computer controlled fuel injection with a lot more wiring and a lot more unnecessary technology The TYM is mechanically fuel injected I got seat time in every single brand of Tractor in this class before making a decision When I ranked my top five tractors in this size range, I put TYM number one. Kioti was number four and LS didn’t make the list.

I had a LS, it was a good tractor. I sold it for a cab tractor. I went with TYM. Biggest difference for me is regen. I have almost 100 hours on my TYM 494 and never had a regen. With my LS XR4140 I would have had two regens already. I always run tractor at least 1800 to 2000 rpm unless bush hogging, then I'm higher. Both are comfortable tractors but from experience with both brands I prefer the TYM. TYM is a simple tractor, no computer to run it, it's mechanical.

Good video 👍🏻. I purchased the TYM T474 last year and have 200 hr on it so far and no regens yet. I chose the TYM for many reasons but one major one is that the TYM has a fully mechanical fuel system and engine with minimal electronics. So far, I love my TYM.

My local dealer sells both tractor brands. He told me that it is easier to deal with LS than to deal with TYM. Real nice guy. I ended up buying a used Kioti that saved me about 10k. I enjoyed the video.

I sold parts at a dealer that sold and fixed both of these tractors. I can 100% confirm LS is much easier to deal with. Plus their parts diagrams are publicly accessible so you can lookup parts yourself if needed. TYM is a great machine but most of their parts have to ship from Korea which can take a long time.

TYM is the cat ass no way I would pay $25k more on a JD. you can have 1 of each for the price of the JD. That green paint is not worth the extra $25k, and I used to drive JD tractors all the time, but TYM does it right, and the TYM looks awesome with the red rims 😊

Did the same things as you. I put LS and TYM side by side. I picked TYM T574. I have had it for about 6 months and 80 hours. I absolutely love it. I have no regrets at all. It does everything I want it to do. Simple design (mechanical diesel) and heavy built.

Jake seems like the kind of sales person I like to work with. I bought my first tractor in July of 2021, and while I'm quite happy with the Kubota I bought, in retrospect I'm not so pleased with the dealership and salesperson. I'd also probably not buy Kubota again, not because I dislike anything about it, but because there are simply better values in something like the TYM or Kioti lines

Brock, for my money, the 574 is the cream of the crop. I have been drooling over that tractor for four years. 5300 lbs of breakout force on the TYM loader also. No hate for the LS, I’m just much more familiar with the TYM. Also, the TYM is very unique for a machine that requires DPF. It is very old school mechanical diesel.

I have purchased two LS Tractors for my Company. I haven’t had any problems with them however I’m in the market for a Cab Tractor. The Tractors I would consider are LS, TYM, Kioti, Yanmar. My opinion is Deere and Kubota have priced themselves out of the market and their hydraulics are no where close to these Tractors however there are those that are loyal to Deere and Kubota that have deep pockets and I respect that. There are enough Tractors out there for everyone to be happy with. Also remember Brock and Tim (Tractor Time with Tim) have done more with a small Tractor, Deere 1025r and their 2 series than most of us do in a lifetime. 😂

This is great information and you landed at a great dealership Brock! I have been there myself during my tractor shopping a year or so ago. I found it to be a good facility with a great inventory and helpful sales staff. They were able to answer every question I had at the time and loved that they had a BUNCH of Backhoe attachments for their tractors. Interesting video for sure! I bought 2 LS Tractors for my business I never had any problems with them. They are strong and reliable. Now I’m searching for a Cab Tractor. I’m open to TYM, LS, Kioti, and Yanmar. My opinion is Deere and Kubota have priced themselves out of the market and their hydraulic systems are no where close to the Tractors I mentioned.

I have hauled some logs up the hill on the loader that were seven feet long and about 1 1/2 feet in diameter. I had to put it in 4WD, but power wise the little beast didn't even know the log was there. I won't be pulling a plow or anything like that, just loader and grapple work and brush hog. Would buy again. On the other hand more power is never a bad thing.

I bought the T474 in December. Love it so far. I shopped LS, TYM, Kioti and Kubota. I’ve always been a Kubota guy but the price, features and dealer pulled me away. My Kubota dealer is a great dealer too as was the LS.

I have the LS MT347 cab it’s been a great tractor so far. I’ve had it 3 years. I’m not a fan of hydro being I grew up on gear driven tractors. So that’s what I went with. I don’t think you’ll go wrong with either of those tractors.

I bought a Kubota L3800 in 2013 and it has almost done everything i have asked it to do. The downside of that tractor is the loader lifting capacity of only 1,000 pounds at the pin, so by the time I put the bucket or forks on, it doesn't have a whole lot there. I had a neighbor who had a Mahindra 23 hp and he was able to lift about 500 pounds more than my tractor, i was amazed. If i buy another tractor it might be a Mahindra, but we will see. If i bought one today, it would be a Mahindra and for a 55 hp, the loader lift would be higher than both of these tractors.

Brock, I absolutely love my TYM T474 HST. The T574 is a monster worker too. Both the T474 and T574 have the exact same Cummins designed mechanical Diesel. No electronics. The T574 has the turbo and a few different cam settings and timing, but they are both bullet proof. Love my TYM.

I did this exact same comparison 3 weeks ago but at two different dealerships. LS compared to TYM. I compared series 3 to series 3 and series 2 to series 2 tractors. They are both excellent quality brands that offer great value. I felt the controls on LS interfered with my natural reach for the loader joystick and no such interference from the TYM models. I also felt the cabs on TYM were a little roomier and more comfortable. I also like the Kukje TYM engines as they are simpler and far less sensors on them that can go bad. I think you will be happy with whichever you choose but I'm planning on getting a TYM this spring. Looking forward to seeing which you choose and how it works out for you either way!

I purchased a 2024 LS MT573 yesterday and having a 3rd function installed for grapple bucket. I purchased a Root Grapple bucket, 7ft Rotary tiller, 7ft Box Blade and a Stump Buster bucket. All for 65k. John Deere 5075E was 18k for just the tractor and the Kubota M4- 071 was nearly 22k more.I looked at a New Holland Power Master 75 and it was $66,600 .

We missed a few details about engine specs, warranty, and transmission options! See that info below: Both warranties are 6 year powertrain, 2 year “bumper to bumper” and 1 year on the loader. The TYM has a 55Hp turbocharged 4 cylinder diesel with mechanical injection pump (made by TYM - formerly Kukje). The LS is a 57HP NA 3 cylinder diesel with common rail direct injection (made by LS Mtron). The LS is rated for 2 more HP at the crank and they’re both claiming around 45hp to the PTO. Both tractors in the video, which we mentioned, have a 3 range hydrostatic transmission. They also both have mechanical synchronized shuttle shift transmissions as an option that are a little cheaper. The TYM shuttle is a 2 range with 4 gears within each range (8Fx8R) whereas the LS is a 4 range with 4 gears within each range (16Fx16R). Thanks for watching!

The only “negative” with the auto-throttle is that it leads new operators to think that pushing down the hydrostat pedal further increases your power to the ground like a gas powered truck. To actually get max power to the ground you should throttle up to operating rpm then just barely pushing down the hydrostat pedal will provide the max torque. Tons of new operators complain that their tractor is underpowered and they have to be in 1st gear to driving up a hill without totally bogging down and nearly stalling the tractor. Reality is they could run it in second or higher with the manual throttle at 2500rpm and the pedal pushed about 1/4-1/3 of the way down. You have to think of a hydrostat as a continuously variable transmission where barely pushing it down is “low gear” and all the way down is “high gear”. Then understand that the “range selector” does exactly what it says, it sets the “range” that the CVT runs in. When you bog a manual transmission truck you would down shift and give more throttle. Same with a tractor but to downshift you back off the hydrostat pedal and to increase the throttle you have to use the manual lever. That’s a small book but it will hopefully help a couple new owners out.

Brock, if I were in your shoes I would seriously consider selling the skid steer and getting a mini excavator instead. Keep your John Deere tractor that you have. I use my mini ex way more often than I ever thought I would. I think you’d be surprised with how you can accomplish with a mini excavator as opposed to a skid steer

Hi Brock I sold my kubota m7960 last fall and bought a TYM cab t494 I have 110hrs on it now with no regen yet. I bought it with r14 tires and they are great in the snow and mud and are fairly easy on the lawn. The loader Is almost as powerful as the m7060 but is rather slow. I would love one of the pumps you put on your JD to speed it up a little. I have always had a geared tractor and the TYM is my first hydro and I love it with the linked throttle. I did notice that the arm rest in the Ls are adjustable which is a nice feature if you spend a lot of time in it.

Thanks for the review. I did about the same thing you've done here about a year ago. I found the John Deere about $17k more, and a Kubota about $18k more, and that was without a lot of the features on the TYM574HC (which I purchased in Nov, doing my 50 hr service on Saturday). I got the TYM with loaded tires, and a 3rd function valve. I've also installed a hydraulic top link. Those features your paying extra for on JD and K are armed seats, rear windshield wiper, lights front and back, mirrors, radio, and bucket level indicator (I think I got them all). I've had zero issues with my TYM574HC. We've got a 16 acre farm, cut fire wood for heat, and maintain a 1200' gravel driveway with it. I've also got a 72" tiller we use to plant some potatoes, Not working the tractor too hard, but can attest to it's lifting ability. We cut down a very large maple tree, and I put 4 logs into my dump trailer using the lift. The mill estimated I've got 1500 board feed of lumber. The tractor had no issues lifting those large logs over the side of the trailer and lowering them slowly to the bed. I used a grapple to move the logs.

I purchased a TYM HST T474 last year and am loving it. My dealer sold both brands and I am one that like simplicity so why not save the money when either will do the same job. AFA the auto throttle is concerned it is not an issue with the HST trans and honestly I find myself using the RPM.s raised for most work I am doing and the throttle lever is right there in front of me. I bought mine with a backhoe in a packaged deal. No regrets at all. I have a friend who sell MF tractors and I priced one and it was far more money than the TYM and the TYM was much heavier. Another bonus.

I run my sawmill operation with my LS MT357 HC... the exact tractor you are showing in this video. I just hit 350 hours on my tractor. I ran a Kioti DK40SE open station for the previous 10 years at the sawmill. Either of these will surely serve you well. I can't comment on the TYM, but I can give you some quick info on the LS. First, loader capacity. It is rated at 2,700 at the pins.. which is also exactly what my old DK40 was rated at as well. I have moved hundreds, if not thousands of logs and I have a good handle on what I can and can't move, weight wise. Both with my old Kioti and the LS, 2,700 at the pins translates to about 2000 lbs when moving logs around with forks or a grapple. So make sure you keep that in mind. You mentioned something about lifting 4,000 lbs a couple inches off the ground in the video. Never going to happen. You MIGHT get lucky and lift a 2,200 lb log a couple inches off the ground, but that would be absolute max. Also, for me, when I am using my tractor, I am usually pretty busy sawing up a job for someone.. in other words, time is money. If I had to stop for 30 minutes while my tractor did a regen, I would go insane. My tractor does a regen every 20 or so hours, and I don't even know it's happening. I just continue working. On the other hand, if the TYM only does a regen every 100 hours or so, maybe it is not a big deal. Pro's and cons with the LS. Pros... engine is extremely quiet and smooth as butter, with an amazing amount of power/torque. With beet juice in the rears, it will flat out pull a full grown oak tree (top and all) through the woods. Also the MT3 series comes standard with a Grammar seat. That is a 1,500.00 seat. They did not cut corners in the cab. The heat/air works awesome. The cab is air tight and quiet. The linked pedal is cool. The engine cruise control is cool. Cons... regen times vary quite a bit. Sometimes it will go 30 hours with no regen. Then sometimes it will regen twice in 10 hours. The tie rod ends.. watch them close, and MAKE SURE that the steering stops are set at the proper length for a loader.. otherwise they will hit the loader mounts when the axle pivots at full steer. A lot of dealerships fail to do this.. mine was not adjusted properly, luckily I caught it. Lastly, the PTO neutral lever in the cab that mechanically disengages the PTO so you can freely spin it, it will only work for about 20 hours if you are lucky, then it will get stuck in the engaged position. They all do this. My dealer is in contact with LS to find a potential fix, but right now LS is scratching their heads. Good luck in your choice, I LOVE mine!

Awesome content taking a real close look at both these machines! The one thing that really stands out to me is that the 3 pt lift rating is 2755lbs AT THE PINS on the LS web site and they will not publish the 24” behind the pins on their spec sheets on their site. That’s a huge difference between the LS and the TYM. Please verify that number for all your viewers as y’all kinda left that as a big loose end which if accurate would totally sway a ton of people in the TYM direction. I will say that I do prefer the LS over the TYM for all the reasons that you stated because of the technology differences. To me the big test Is how well do the hydraulics work and are they super smooth… and will they perform two functions with the loader joy stick such a curl and lift etc. As I had indicated months ago I bought a Massey Ferguson 2860M cab/loader tractor and couldn’t be happier 120 hours later trouble free so far. I’m all in on my deal at $53K. After looking at both of these machines today with you the Massey control features and cab ergonomics of control locations appears to me to be far superior in placement and ease of access and operation. Additionally, the Massey I purchased has the AIR RIDE SEAT, rear wiper and rear glass wire defroster in the rear window. The Massey also allows you to exit the tractor without having to have the Parking Brake engaged which Is a huge deal to me for my use of this machine & it will start with out having to engage the parking brake…. Another big deal to me ✔️. I’m totally not meaning to sound like I plugging MF. Just indicating additional features and what I consider to be better ergonomics in the cab and operations. Other than the rear 3 pt lift capacity at the ends being a low number 2755lbs I would totally choose the LS Over the TYM unless one dealer is much better to deal with than the other. Good luck in your quest for the new larger cab tractor you will be happy it when you pull that trigger!! Really love this type content… 👍👍🔥🔥

I have a jd 5075E Cab and it’s been a great machine but it was too big for some smaller chores. So based off of all the research I did I bought a TYM T474 and I’m damn glad I did. It’s been flawless and the Kukje engine is much quieter than the powertech but I do like them both. The loader on the T474 is impressive, it will pick up and stack large round bales with no issue. My neighbor has the T574 and I’ve ran it a few times and it’s a great machine!

I have been looking at upgrading to the TYM 574CTLB. I test drove one the other day. There are actually 2 screens covering radiator and condenser on the 574's and take note of the backhoe it sits very high which is good for ground clearance when loading or driving over very uneven terrain on the 574's. Many other manufacturers have very poor clearance with the sub frame. (Kioti ck series I looked and physically measured them) The LS's also look pretty low as well but did not measure myself. 10 inches measured to the pin on the rear frame mount pins on the 574 bh permanently mounted tractor frame which was the lowest point. As said on other posts I prefer simplicity for the long haul. (Regen) Note: the Kioti and TYM are a very similar bh design however the lower frame bars stick out past the rear tire substantially that was a deal breaker for me on Kioti. Great video. I feel like if you haven't looked at MF and you have a dealer near by they are the real sweet spot between top end JD and the Korean brands. I think the 2855m or 2860M would be perfect for you, backhoes are a woods product I believe, and to my knowledge the three point arms stay on with backhoe and its the same hookup as the Kubota, two pins and its off. I had a MF 1740E and an 1835M cab and both were phenomenal machines with excellent fit and finish and zero problems with either over about 175 hours on each. Also no DPF on some of their larger machines.

On the T575, you can adjust the position of the lever for the loader and bring it closer. You can get it so where your elbow is on the armrest while your hand is on the lever. I'm seriously considering going to a T574 from my 2038r. My neighbor has one. Also, the TYM engine is mechanically injected. Much simpler, better dpf as well and easy to service the dpf

At one point in the LS MT357 you pointed to a switch on the left side of the dash and said something like "and here you have your wipers", and moved on. That rocker switch you were referring to is the control for the DEF burn. Rocking it one way is an inhibit, if there would be some reason the heat of the regen the computer is about to do would be a fire hazard. The opposite side allows you to call for the regen burn whenever you want. The wiper and squirter controls (F & R) are up on the right pillar with the work lights (F & R) and the engine speed control. One thing about the TYM you didn't cover is the key hole cover. Evidently if a storm is coming you can leave the doors and windows open, and still keep the key hole nice and dry by flipping the cover closed.

I struggled deciding between TYM and LS in the same 55 hp range. I think LS’s interior is more refined but I ended up buying TYM and really like it. My decision came down to simplicity and price.

I just purchased a LS MT573 from Diamond R Equipment in Freeburg Missoura. Im having them install the 3rd function for front implements. I purchased a 7ft Rotary tiller, 6ft Root Grapple, 7ft Box Blade and a Stump Buster bucket and added a Extended warranty that changed the 6 year factory warranty for 2 year's bumper to bumper and 4 years drive train for 65k. A New Holland Power Master 75 was $66,600 for tractor and loader only a Kubota M4-071 was nearly 22k more. This is my 1st tractor we bought a 85 acre Farm in Moniteau County Missoura and the staff wanted to know Everything I hoped to use the Tractor for so I showed them my property with my OnX hunting app ( highly recommended everyone have it) the seen the elevation parts of the property and Terranced parts. Every Farmer around me told me not to get anything below 65hp for what I'm doing. Diamond R Equipment carries McCormick,Mahindra, TYM and LS , the place is like Mayberry on the Andy Griffith show no pressure and answered every question I had a asked my questions I hadn't even considered. Anyway I hope I like the LS . Its gonna be delivered after Labor Day.

What is the loader lift height for each? LS is an ehydro although the current model doesn't have adjustable features. There is testing on an updated MT3 which is going to share the updated looks of the MT2 plus other updates. If LS is a consideration I'd wait for the update. A 4066R cab and loader will be about $74k on the build your own page. That doesn't include backhoe or implement hydraulics that the other two offer. So I'd guess you would be over $80k with those additional items.

I know its a silly reason to like a tractor, but I think LS are the best looking tractors. I guess I like their color blue. I wouldn't chose a tractor based on color. I own a Yanmar and I don't particularly like red.

I've never operated a skid steer, but I do have a Deere 4520 tractor. One of the things you taught me is there is both a time and place for each machine type and each has its own set of advantages and disadvantages. I know you're looking for variety in your channel, but I'm shocked to hear you want to replace your smaller tractor and skid steer with a bigger tractor. I'm thoroughly confused. 😊

Tell me about the loader hydraulic hose attachment location. This one and the one you have on loan have the connections vertically and up higher. Others have them lower and pointing out with the hoses hanging out farther. Is this a dealer modification or has TYM changed to this better design.

I'm changing my vote to LS over the NX Kioti after this. Their MT3 series is the export "New Holland Boomer" and the refinement shows in this video in the rear end details, the features and the cab placement of the hydraulic levers on the top of the shelf of the wheel arch and the other refinements. The upcoming Massey review is going to be quite interesting in comparison since that's another "mature platform" from Iseki that has a LOT of features built into the deluxe tractor.

Not apples to apples but I run a tym 454 alot, love it been a good tractor, run a mt573 almost every day been a good tractor, just keep your battery contacts clean. Both shuttle. Ls has a nicer cab but is a bit newer. For the win I pick tym but I really use it more. Both are good machines.

Very true. Also, I don’t know what to say really about those things. I mean they put out similar horsepower from well established engine manufactures. The Internet is a big place in 2024 and you don’t see a lot of people complaining about problems I’ve had. Especially with the TYM.

Both warranties are 6 year powertrain, 2 year “bumper to bumper” and 1 year on the loader. The TYM has a 55Hp turbocharged 4 cylinder diesel with mechanical injection pump (made by TYM - formerly Kukje). The LS is a 57HP NA 3 cylinder diesel with common rail direct injection (made by LS Mtron). The LS is rated for 2 more HP at the crank and they’re both claiming around 45hp to the PTO. Both tractors in the video, which we mentioned, have a 3 range hydrostatic transmission. They also both have mechanical synchronized shuttle shift transmissions as an option that are a little cheaper. The TYM shuttle is a 2 range with 4 gears within each range (8Fx8R) whereas the LS is a 4 range with 4 gears within each range (16Fx16R). The tractors the video have the same tire height but one is wider. Tractor tire size markings are completely different from car tire markings. 16.9-24 means 16.9 inches wide on a 24 inch tall rim. If there is no "R" before the last number, it's a bias tire. Metric labeling gives a bit more information. I'll use a 320/70R15 for example. 320 mm (12.5 in) wide The sidewall height is 70% of the tire width R to denote radial 15 inch tall rims Edit: that's not cruise control, it's probably engine speed lock so your PTO always keeps the same RPM

Brock, can the TYM or LS do a lift and curl function similar to the Kubotas? We’ve owned 4 Kubotas and 2 Kiotis and the Kiotis were pretty annoying that they could only do one loader function especially when we were doing a lot of gravel and dirt work.

so I have a question. I have a kubota mx4800. it is open meaning no cab. lift capacity on the loader is something like 2250 lbs. the regen works while i am working which I like. I have been clearing my 4 1/2 acre hobby farm of big trees and stuff. when I say big trees, I am talking 36" diameter burr oak. Heavier than my tractor can pick up. I currently do not have a backhoe for mine but would love one. Not sure my subframe is set up to support one right now as it stands. I have universal attachments I was wondering if these companies accept universal attachments or are they like john deere and you have to buy their attachments to get them to work? Are they a high flow hydraulic system? Mine is not high flow. How many gpm flow are they? I added a 3rd function to my system so that I can run a grapple on the front of the loader. I like the idea of having a cab since I am in the north. Call me wanting to be spoiled in my older age. What kind of financing options do you have for those brands? I.E. I didn't come across any money trees in all the ones I have taken out. Just my luck. I did add beet juice to my tires to give it a little more oomph and balancing weight.

I would love to see a true lift comparison. I bought my Bobcat CT2025 because it has a high lift capacity. The TYM was the only other consideration because it has an even higher lift capacity then mine. Went with the Bobcat because of my local dealer and my last CT1021 was flawless for the two years I had it.

TYM has plastic hood vs metal hood on LS. Look closely at them both; LS is much more refined, better finish & fitment overall. Transmission range and gear shifting are much better and smoother on the LS Tractors.

The TYM's external 3PT handle looks like it is in a really nice position, where you can get to it without stepping into the area behind the rear tire and then between the tire and the attachment.... I thought that the standard measurement for 3PT lift capacity was @ 24" behind the pins, so that larger number was measured where other manufacturers are not testing and publishing #'s ( I could be wrong on that of course, but that is my understanding on it). The one feature my older tractor (made between '08-'12) does have is an auto throttle, really wish that was available, but all of these newer tractors have the controls on the right side WAY to far forward in the cab, basically eliminating the option to go in and out of the right side door, that would drive me crazy. I go in and out of the right side door as often as the left side, so 50/50, depending on why I need to get in and out and what is in the way (outside) of using one door or the other. And we are talking the same size machine, 49hp in my case (Kioti DK50SE). With the regen systems, I think the manufacturers should offer a display of the filter's status in percentage or even just a light that comes on when the system is getting to a point where it will need to regen soon, so you can have the option to manually start a regen when it is more convenient for you, like if you are going to do some brush hogging, or some other more intensive task where you have the rpm's up anyways and you are going to be using the tractor like that for long enough to complete the regen. That way you don't come to the end of what you are doing and all of a sudden the tractor decides that it NOW needs to do a regen...... Seems like that would eliminate a bunch of the reasons people do't like them, regen's, though many still won't like them just because! My tractor never had any of those "systems", so it isn't a problem for me, just think that would make one of the big complains about the regen's timing better. And if one of these tractors will only do a regen when it is parked, that would be a tractor to leave on the dealers lot, just saying. Both are nice looking tractor's, for the most part. Anyways, have a good one!!👍

@RockhillfarmYT Have had an LS 46 Hp for 9 years , 1000hrs on it, with little problems. Bend the loader frame last year (My fault), Dealer had a new one in a few weeks, thought it would be longer or a problem. TYM should be good also, both are nice equipment.
