Tractor Showdown 2038R vs 3046R + Grinding Stumps Testing Grapples
We did a comparison between the 2038R and a 3046R and also did some stump grinding with the Baumalight 3P24 stump grinder. we also compared the Artillian grapple to a 4 in 1 bucket

Enjoyed it. I'm thinking the 3046r did not have rimguard. Without rimguard and wheel weights, it seemed to slip the rear wheels a bit when pushing into the pile. I think the tipsy aspect would be reduced with rimguard as well. Love both of the machines.

There are several other things I could’ve talked about. I really prefer the feel of driving my tractor. The steering and pedals felt better more and more grounded Tractor. He has a nicer three-point set up with telescoping stabilizers which is something I’m in the process of getting. You cannot deny the pushing power although I don’t think the lifting power is that much different if you have a self-leveling loader on the 2038 I really miss my armrest when operating the loader joystick but he has a nice integrated button for the third function

Looks like the trailer tires needed a bit of air. Hope you pumped them up before the trip and didn't have any problems. The drone footage was great. I'm guessing that is Josh's property stream. Looks really nice there. I'm wondering if I need a 4 in 1 bucket instead of a grapple. Decisions.... Decisions.....
@RockhillfarmYT
@RockhillfarmYT 3 жыл бұрын
That stream is on joshsproperty. He has multiple streams that run into a creek. Good eye. I actually mentioned it when I was rambling at the beginning of the video and then cut it out for time. The trailer tires were low and also the air shocks on the truck we’re all the way up which made the back of the trailer sit low. I really did like the 4-1 bucket more than I expected to, it has its limitations as a Grapple but it was serviceable as a Grapple and much better at back dragging than a standard bucket

Wish I'd watched more videos before buying my tractor. I went with a 3038E because of the horsepower and couldn't really justify the extrea $5k for a 3R. sweet, I think if you were gonna upgrade this model would not be justifiable. I would go much bigger or not at all. but like you said yours is nimble, fit in smaller spaces and can fit on your trailer and tow with a 1500 truck... just my 2 cents.

Right I saw a few advantages to my tractor in terms of ergonomics and how comfortable it is to drive that I didn’t really mention in the video. When it comes to really pushing pulling or lifting you see the difference on the bigger tractor Future plans could be trading up to four series or keeping my tractor and getting a skid steer. Also pretty happy with what I have
