i have a 2016 J.D. 1025R FILB. Been an awesome ttactor for me since day one, up until about 3 days ago. i was using the tractor for yard work on afternoon & when i called it a day, i shut everthing down, lowered the empliment tools , let the tractor cool down for a couple minutes, then shut it off. I few hours later i went back out to the tractor to restart it to put it to bed in the shop, & no start. The high/low gear shift lever was placed in neutral position & the readout display on the dash panel also said shift to neutral. everyth8ng had been done & still no tractor engine turn over from the starter ignition key switch. just dead silence. please help me of any tips or advise if you can. i do not wannuh take the tractor to the local J.D. dealership as this would get costly. isnt there a neutrality safety switch somewhere down around the high/ low gear selector shift any where that i am not seeing????? please help if all.possible. Thankyou!!!

I have a 2038R and I am getting a shift to neutral code. It is in neutral and all other recommendations were checked. Any other suggestions to get my tractor to start?

That really sounds like a relay issue to me.

I'm sure you're good to go by now, but maybe this will help someone else...check the safety start switch. They go bad. Mine just went bad on my 1026r with only 270 hours. I unplugged the switch and ran a wire between the 2 connectors of the switch. Fired right up! My new switch was about $35. My location is underneath the tractor on the transmission. You want to have the new switch ready and be fast and you won't lose much fluid, but still have some extra on hand.

I will. ever buy a John deere tractor, I've used 3 of them already, just junk of junk stuff. Everything is made in china . They want start because of the chi a electrictronic parts. These were brand new tractors with the same no start problems. I'm sticking with Kabota!!
