For any tires having to support a loader with a bucket I always go max pressure... There can be a lot of weight, want that tire to support the best it can or the tire will wear out faster or premature failure at higher speeds/rough terrain. For anything else, a good test is to be parked on a hard smooth surface and adjust air press accordingly so it has full, even contact to the ground but not overly squatting and not going over max inflation press.

absolutely love my Kubota, the only thing that sucks is the rims. the front ones on my MX4800 wouldn't stay on bead at low pressures due to the lack of bead retention ring. i've since put tubes in all 4 rims and never had a problem again. the rears never had a problem but i'm running water filled tires for weight so i run tubes to make sure rust from the inside is never an issue. for those that wonder, running at the lower recommended pressures will give a smoother ride and better traction.

Hey Neil. Great video as always. I have had issues with my tire pressures since I purchased my BX1880. The loader manual says 17# front....but the owners manual clearly states to go to max tire pressure when FEL is installed......I always felt the 17# was way too low, the tires were really bulging. FYI......

Hi Neil, thanks so much for your hint on checking the loader manual too. For my Kubota L2800, the tractor manual specifies 26 PSI for my 7-16 tires and the loader manual specifies 36 PSI, which happens to be the max pressure on the tire! I'm going to go in between though as I need the grip on my sandy soil. Interesting though, and I would not have looked this up had you not mentioned it!

Great video. I had an underinflated tire on my bx2370 while using the loader to move some heavy boulders. Bent the wheel because of this. Max psi now whenever doing loader work.

Hello Neil I have an old kubota b8200 with a front loader and don't have a manual for it ! I've always put about 18 to 20 psi in the front and back . They look about right 😃👍

Per Kubota L3301 operators manual. Page 52, Note: Maintain the maximum pressure in front tires, if using a front loader or when equipped with a full load of front weights.

Yes, but this is not the case for all models.

Hi Neil Great to watch and hear your info I find if I don’t keep the pressure high in my front tyres I have almost flat tyres at the front when I put any weight in the loader bucket which is a LA534 on a B3150 Michael

You took 3 mins to get to the actual PSI number.

Lowered my rears on concrete until the tread bars almost touched all the way across the tire. Think I'm at 20 PSI. Otherwise the tire was really rounded and hard.
@Sicktrickintuner5 жыл бұрын
Low pressure I found is bad on a skid steer, had one tire go almost flat, went to lift something and it tipped to that side. Lifted uneven and could have been a bad thing when near max weight. Back up to 40-50 psi compared to the max of 65

Old original BX23... Kubota hates us to have owners manuals.. no free .pdf downloads available! Buy one for lots of $$$$ . My ONLY complaint about Kubota. So for my early 2000s BX23 with a front loader what pressure should I run? I usually just go 2 psi under max for FEL work.. the tires leak badly, so every time I use it, I just go to 2 under max.
@AnimationCPU-y2k245 жыл бұрын
my manual says front tires 20psi without loader, 25psi with loader.

My owner's manual states the pressure for the tires be the same as the number on the sidewall. So does that mean I don't lower them?

Very interesting, my Max 28 recommends the max Psi for everything but I have not looked in my FEL for info on tire Psi I have lowered them and notice better traction but will put them at max when adding the back hoe

Why do people never read the owner's manual... it has everything you need to know about owning your equipment... and if actually seen where some dealers "forget" to give you the owner's manual and had to actually go back to get it
@wildbill23c4 жыл бұрын
With the internet I've found I can generally find most user/owner manuals online in PDF form, very helpful and with PDF files you can easily do a search for what you are looking for...the physical paper manual is great but the PDF is a nice additional feature. I found the PDF manual for the Kubota D1005 engine that's in the BX2680 as I'll be getting one here soon and ran across the PDF shop manual for that engine and saved it for any potential future reference needs down the road.

What about tire pressure with fluid?
@MessicksEquip5 жыл бұрын
Same
@dougshrader77215 жыл бұрын
Disagree. You're lifting or carrying a lot of weight, you want the pressure high enough you aren't flattening the tires under load.
