Most of those rails need to be replaced. They are an up and down mangled mess of which here in the U.S. is unacceptable. Even though our rails can be mangled but not to *that* extent. I’ve always said to myself that railroads should lay their track either on steel girders or a concrete surface for smooth non-bumpy operation and not rely on rocks to keep the track upright which is not ideal to keep track completely straight due to rocks shifting and weather conditions. But as always, I get told that it would be costly. But let’s think about it, they rather have billions lost on derailments than make a better track infrastructure. Lol the irony. Anyway, that’s my rant for today.

Mr Infinite Travelle r it is complicated to you only since you have not havi ng evev 5 per cent preliminary knowledge about the track chsnging mechanism it see ms Have a visit to the nearest railwa y station for at le ast 20 to 30 minu tes for 7 days at tha spot where 2 lines split I am tho usand per ssure you will understa nd the track mech anism this will be done by several ty pes of railme depe nding upon the manual changing and mechanical changing of trac ks I too also have no knowledge du ring my younger days Since I start ed visiting railway station which is 1 km from my house in Mysore from the last 70 years whenever time per mits for seeing the tracks and trains I become 98 percen t familiar with rail way mechanism as on today
