No, YOU were “that dude” up til about this point, about 2005. This is when Kobe took over as the best in the game. T-Mac was the best player in the world from 2002-2004/2005. Everybody knew it. Kobe himself ADMITTED it. If Kobe “beat” him 1v1 it was the straight-out-of-high-school Toronto Raptors T-Mac. Orlando T-Mac always got the best of Kobe…. The NBA was at its BEST when these 2 were the 2 best players in the world and MJ was back with the Wizards. The NBA circa 2003 was the most talented league there has ever been. Prime T-Mac. Prime Kobe. Prime Vince. Prime Iverson. Prime Garnett. Prime Duncan. Still prime Shaq. Prime EVERYONE.

This is facts. T-mac just had the bad luck of being on Doc Rivers coached teams. He deserved better in his prime because he was the only 1 that could outshine Kobe, even when he went to Houston. I feel like Kobe had to get to his level in order for the Lakers to be contenders again.
