I love these pages, and it looks lovely. I watch these with the mind that I conserve as many pages as possible so I get a year in one book. Watching entire pages turn into decorations or a bookmark on a page then another bookmark holding page, massively cut down pages, and decorations that reduce a ton of the page's function of holding data, my brain goes "pretty but all the lost space". So it was nice to hear someone say they want to save as much as possible while doing this type of decoration.
@TracyTylerRevell2 жыл бұрын
After several years of bullet journaling I’ve come to realize that for me the decorative aspect is just as important as the function. It’s such a creative release for me that it’s almost therapeutic so sacrificing decorations in order to fit more on a page is a sacrifice that I usually don’t make. I just try to be more intentional with my spreads so that I don’t have unused/wasted pages.

Can you share how you made your mini calendars on your computer? I’m currently struggling with that 🤣 and yours are just so perfect!!
@TracyTylerRevell2 жыл бұрын
Hmm. I don’t know how to video my computer screen but until I can figure that out 😂 I use Pages, which is Apple’s version of Word, and create a table with 5-6 rows depending on how many weeks in that month and seven columns for the days of the week, then I make it whatever size I want it to be, for the mini calendars it’s roughly an inch and a half wide. Once the basic shape of the table is done I copy and paste it to make multiples and then fill each one out. The month title is a separate text box that I just center over the calendar. It’s a bit time consuming but it definitely helps keep my hand from hurting! Hope that helps!

Wasn't the original idea it last as long as it lasts? Mine usually last five months, longer when I don't go on holidays. I see it so often that people either cramp a sixth month into an already full notebook or leave a ton of pages unused because, well, six months are up.

You should consider noting the different journals as Volume and book... if this was the 3rd year and 3rd book, it would be Vol 3, book 3. That way as you go through the years, you won't have 2 named the same. Just a thought...

@TracyTylerRevell2 жыл бұрын
😂 I am the wrong person to ask that question. I usually go through 3-4 notebooks, that are 192 pages, a year. 🤭 Maybe try condensing spreads, like combining the calendar and cover page or having 2 weeks per spread instead of one. I’m sure it’s possible but you may have to use less “extra” stuff like papers and stickers. Hope that helps.

Hi! I'm new here. I really like the aesthetic outcome of your setup! Your video showed up while I was thinking of starting a new bujo myself even though I still have a lot pages left in my current one. Do you actually use up your previous notebooks or do you leave pages unused?
@TracyTylerRevell2 жыл бұрын
Welcome!! Thank you so much! Some notebooks have more pages left than others. It really just depends. My current bullet journal has 4 pages left. If I know there won't be enough room for the next month then I'll just move on to the next journal. I am guilty of leaving a lot of pages left though because I just wanted something new but it's usually not more than 10-15 pages. I say if you're not happy with your current journal then go ahead and switch it up. You can always tear the extra pages out and use them for mini calendars or anything else that you may need scraps for. Or you could use those pages as pen test pages for new pens/markers or color combos you like. The possibilities are really endless. 😂 All that was to say, don't feel guilty for starting new! 😁
@chrisadimitriadou2 жыл бұрын
@@TracyTylerRevell thanks a lot! I actually had a notebook from the flying tiger. It was cheap and the paper very thin, but I wanted to see how invested I could remain throughout the year. It was a first attempt on bujo grid. But all the stickers and papers I have added make it very bulky and uncomfortable to handle. So I got the one you have here on your set up here, coincidentally.. Idk maybe I'm not confident enough for the upgrade😂
@fionaeckert45562 жыл бұрын
@@chrisadimitriadou well, sounds like you are not happy with the one you are using currently. Why not give the new one a try? Otherwise you might never know if it was just the thin paper that annoyed you. Like you I started with a cheap sketch book to try. Then I upgraded to better paper and am really happy now.
