Those rods are thick despite their name

It's an updated CarbonLite, so it's much thinner than the 2.0 version. However, you are correct. Despite being thinner than the 2.0 CarbonLite rods, they are still quite a bit more thick than all of my Abu Garcia MH rods.

What's better sbout the updated carbon lite rod? I found a heavy 2.0 at a expo for $50. Im going to be at the bass shop next Monday and i may be looking to trsde in a rod for another heavy rod as i only have 1 in of thst brsnd and power.

I think they switched manufacturers. They're both lighter and thinner, and the winn grips have been changed. The length of the split grip area has been shortened, and they sell more varieties of actions and lengths. The technique specific frog rod for example is heavy/fast and 6'9". Perfect for kayak or bank fishing, as the shorter length makes it easier to manage.
