I know it must've been boring to play but seeing it sped up this is a really cool episode of the zombie series you've got. It's a classic set-up: the power goes out, and our team have to survive in the dark, setting up campfires and relying on the few systems they have to live through the snow outside. I imagine there'd be a lot of character development and conversations - and the tense confrontation with a group of friendly, but infected, survivors passing through was a lovely break up mid-timelapse.

7:36 I like to think the mushroom hair works just like real hair in the sense that it’s dead. The nullifier kills all the fungal growths and leaves a bunch of dead fungal cells that get flushed out or scraped off in other parts of the body. So now Banana’s just stuck with lifeless mushroom growths dangling from her head.
@JesusKreist Жыл бұрын
Most people are not aware that hair and nails are actually waste products of the body like urine is. Evolution just has found a use for them. Bananas hair is but a remnant of her cured body. The live fungoid was repelled but the hair as said is a waste product and thus was not reverted. If rimworld would render hair growth after some time she'd go back to her previous hair color/style as *her* hair grows instead. In the meantime she could grab scissors but realistically speaking she has part of a natural camouflage in emergency situations with that ...

I don't know what it is exactly, but the timelapses where nothing happens and you can just see time passing and people do things really gets me. It's super chill in the best way, especially after how stressful some moments are. Kind of reminds me of how these people are trying to live in the apocalypse, and not just constantly adventure or fight off hordes (although they do still do that a lot).

For Chef's Luciferium addiction, you can craft an Addiction Remover from the Mechanite Forge mod (which also lets you craft Luciferium and other interesting super drugs) but I'm afraid it would break what is undoubtedly one of the most balanced modpacks you've come up with. I guess Chef's ticking time bomb of an addiction is a reality we have to accept.

Pretty sure that a Healer Mech Serum can cure Trauma Savant by curing the brain injury that causes the condition. That would just leave Chef Will with an incurable Luciferium dependency, and a chef having a substance dependency is perfectly in character.

Really love this series. I think it would be fitting to use the ancient supply slingshot to trade spare resources with other survivors, although I am not sure how balanced it is. In my playthroughs with VFE Ancients it usually was a fair trade, since the supply drop is of roughly the same wealth as the stuff you send. You could impose some restrictions upon yourself, like only sending stuff other survivors might need (meals, medicine, spare guns, ammo, etc.) and not just using it to dump excess amounts of a single resource

Big Brain Cai can still be a “Careful Shooter,” just pretend that it’s for her medical procedures - she knows full well that the colony has very limited supplies, so one misstep could be the difference between a perfectly treated patient and a medical emergency misused, and now *wasted* medicine. If that doesn’t make somebody want to be extra careful, then I don’t know what would!

Healer mech serums don't take away the consequences of your actions, they take away random BS rng where you get 50% reduction on your limbs at random from combat and they're extremely limited since you can't craft them. BIONICS on the other hand you can craft and do the same thing, they're much more of a problem, heck they even improve your colonists depending on the type of bionic. I think Archotech stuff that you get randomly is fine, since they're limited, but I'd much prefer healer mech serums over the craftable bionics.

If I may give one suggestion, next time you're without cameras and turrets, you could use your colonists as guards to see what comes. Just keep one drafted and watching the gates, and periodically switch who is drafted and watching (to stop them from falling asleep, dying of hunger, or going mad), like how it is done in almost all fiction and even in real life in similar situations.

I think a cool idea for the cure after some improvemnts by Big Brain Cai would be to somehow make it easier for mass adminstration, which would tie in nicely to story telling for curing the world and add an interesting end goal. Im thinking along the lines of a mist for fast despersion via helicopter or make a dart gun with the nullifier in the darts. If you go with the mist option a modified flamethrower would tie into grills character, instead of clensing flames grill be become the cleanser of the mycomorphs. I am not sure how this would be modded into the game but i think the dart gun option would be a viable one? You shoot the cure and then tend the people in a healing camp and build up an in lore medical aid army.
