Helped a buddy build a 85 gl rx7 with a 94 turbo 13b engine trans and rear end when we was at trade school and we used the 85 computer fooling it with capacitors and resistors soldered into the harness and had a aquarium valve for a boost controller made a best of just over 420hp to the wheels on Kammer&Kammers chassis dyno that little rotary hurt alot of feelings when it got traction 😁

A 1.44 60 foot time on a street tire with a manual launch, no two step, is pretty amazing. That car is a testament to the benefits of being lightweight. Well into the 10s with a clapped out transmission and less than 400 whp. Amazing.

Ive never seen this channel before but I couldn't click on this video fast enough. We all used to own Datsun 1200s way back when, even the 1000. The beauty of them is their simplicity. The stock engine got swapped for the a14 or a15, chuck on a weber, extractors and mild cam and they ran pretty hard. They're worth a mint now. Thanks for taking me back!

I used to try and shift quick enough to not see the light going through the neutral gate. Don’t remember if I ever succeeded though. Great little car with a 1200 c.c. 4 banger in it. Fun video.
