TRADER JOE'S TASTE TESTING NEW DRINKS AND MAKING TACO SALAD

Trader Joe's didn't have a whole lot of NEW items this week, so we're switching things up a bit. We start off by opening the new Trader Joe's Rioja red wine while we make our favorite taco salad recipe. Then, we sit down and share a life update while reviewing the new Trader Joe's pre-made cocktails.

Keep some migraine tea (3 bags of Yorkshire tea and a tablespoon of Elderberry jelly in a standard 1l teapot, pour on boiling water, steep for four minutes, let it cool down, and pour into a bottle) around. For extra effectiveness add a bag of chamomile tea. A glass of that when you feel the tightness before a headache comes on should set you straight and clear in no time.

I’m a huge fan of TJ’s Mediterranean Orzo salad, and I’ve been making it myself. I add white beans for more protein, and sometimes avocado. And I eat it over arugula instead of chopped spinach. 😋

There's an acupressure point on the wrist that can help with nausea, motion sickness, etc. You can buy wristbands cheaply that put pressure on that point. Definitely worth a try.

Gin or vodka and tonic (or bubbly water)with a nice dash of Roses lime and lots of ice is very good. Roses lime is basically simple syrup with lime juice, maybe some lime peel for more concentrated flavor, so you could make a small batch yourself. Same with lemons.

Just a thought...shredded cheese usually has cellulose in it, which is derived from wood pulp. Buy block cheese and grate it yourself.

It takes a village sometimes to put out the good vibes...I remember that video of Tim's interview. They're lucky to have him! My daughter suffers from extreme migraines; has poly cystic issues and had a bad illness after anesthesia. It was horrible for her. I'm sorry you had such a bad episode but am happy to hear you're on the recovery train. Health is wealth. Her journey led to healthier choices too. You're my daughter's age. This video format is very enjoyable. You two look so happy.😘

🎉 congratulations Tim! Katie, I just had surgery myself and every time I do I try to lobby to not get put under and just have a local anesthesia because I always get the flu after anesthesia. And I am never sick! Just after anesthesia. So I just chalk it up to the fact that I'm going to need a few weeks off of life due to being sick and having brain fog. Just like you! I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Congratulations, Tim, on your new job. Katie, I had terrible migraines starting in my mid-20's. One of the triggers was red wine. Fortunately, once I hit menopause, they stopped. Old fashioneds are my go-to cocktail. I buy a canned brand called Golden Rule, so I don't have to worry about measuring it. Drink it over ice and add a couple of maraschino cherries. Sometimes I add chilled water to it also. Never seem to have an orange peel around. Really enjoyed this video. It's good to change things up a bit now and then.

Oh my gosh Katie, I also am a migraine sufferer. I’ve tried a bunch of things, meds, supplements, products, and mine mostly seem to be hormone related. Not sure if this has been mentioned but I love the Dizzy Cook for recipes and ideas for migraine friendly tips and I couldn’t live without my headache hat.

I've gotten used to the fasting by now, as I've had to go extreme lengths of time without food. Have you tried lentils cooked in a no beef or no chicken broth? It takes on the flavor of the broth and i add it as my meat substitute for quesadillas and taco salad
