Nonsense. If you can't see this with your own eyes daily,. and manipulate it, there's nothing wise about it. And passing it on to others only harms them. Follow the rabbit hole if you want to understand that everything is made of energy, and want to learn to switch to other realities for real, on that basis. Or keep pretending with Alan Watts.

@@voightkampff7399 A statement made by someone with absolutely no understanding of "energy". For real! The Olmecs mapped it out, 8000 years ago. Later,. along came fake religions and magical systems like the horrible "Zen" cult, to steal money from people based on self-soothing sayings like this one. Follow the rabbit hole!

Alan is my most favoured speaker on the nature of existence. I find others who dismiss him as not being sufficiently patient to see through the veil of phenomena and emotions. The idea of Zen, is as Thomas Berry was wont to state: "Nothing is itself without everything else." Alan very simply explains in his own way, that our humanity is entangled and intertwined with our essential underlying nature of being; that they are as inseparable as a crest is from a trough, to create a wave.

It's so funny how he mentions that once you realize you're "that" you become full of delight and energy. I was in a really dark mental space a little while back and I thought it would be a good idea to get high when I had anxiety; I began to shiver and shake and I felt so awful trying to stay awake, it's like I was experiencing an overload, so I went to bed and listened to music. Ironically enough out of the thousands of songs that could've come on when i hit "shuffle", one of the first ones to come on was simply an anthem about letting your light shine. I felt so cold, my hands and body riddled with anxiety and mind with racing thoughts, but once I was able to be still and listen, I quickly warmed back up like magic, like the gas on my internal lamp was cranked up and I could finally feel at peace. I truly feel like my energy was fading and it took me getting back in tune with the world around me to bring me back, to make my light shine again

Alan Watt shares his wisdom in a provocative and creative way; yet, what he communicates, even though insightful, will not change your ego to an enlightened state of being. The belief in free will and free choices are an illusion. Gurdjieff explains that man is asleep, and how can anyone acquire knowledge when you are asleep? Studying Gurdjieff’s work and Spinoza’s philosophy these past 45 + years have awakened me, since then, I have created a method of awakening one’s higher thinking intelligence, then true permanent enlightenment, and happiness are possible.

As a 6yo I had existential crisis daily because this was a recurring thought in my mind and had a deep sense of feeling alone having no explanation and seen as crazy from my Christian raising. It is not my words or body sensations that are being thrown at me, I feel like I am on a leash, not myself.... etc. I am constantly so "torn"/"torn" that the only solution is to commit suicide. This one always vibes with me deeply. I know in my own life making that first step towards a commitment that provides multiple challenges and obstacles that leads to a worthy goal or an adventure with good fun planned. At some point you come to a dead end and have to improvise and trust that there is always an alternative path you never saw that will get you to where you want to go, you just had to let go of that rigid plan of execution. It was only an assumption, but the universe knew a better way, so keep your mind open to all paths. And trust that motion and moving forward is always the way through the storm.

A human being's journey is from his circumference as a movable observer to his centre as an immovable witnessor. The moment he completes this journey he is no more in bondage of this mayik jagat or illusionary world. Only then he can say "I am not deha or body, I am atman or energy which has no physical structure but flowing in the same frequency as jagatprakriti, only then he can understand that actually he is never in the bondage of birth and death but always free to flow as infinite energy in the prabaha of prakriti or fluid flow of nature, in the unending construction and destruction process of prakriti or nature.

Initially for a long time I couldn’t really get it right so it was an on and off thing but eventually I developed the skills and had enough motivation to really go for it this time and it worked. The problem was it worked so well that I kind adeveloped an ego. The world and my mind really did open up for me but I got attached to this one thing and ended up losing some of the mindsets that got me here. Eventually I had to let that thing go because I thought that was the right thing to do but I didn’t realize how much it hurt me so I kept ignoring it until I got lost so I’m not sure where I am anymore.
