If you trade market structure and price action you can actually be mechanical with how you use discretion. For an example, if you are a trend trader you can put in your checklist to not trade too late in the trend, or when the trend is at a key level of resistance.

I think by joining pretty much any of Etienne's programs you are lowkey addressing a lot of what is mentioned here and necessary to eventually become profitable.

Great video - though advice i see a lot is that you shouldn't have any expectation about where the market will go - how is that supposed to square with you deciding how to place your trade. Surely that is based on that very expectation? I am sure the message here is more subtle (and it is a message you often see), but i have still not found someone to explain more clearly what the real point is here.

💯 on people having fantasy idea that being a full time trader is all positive
@franklincarnes52648 ай бұрын
Divy up is a good idea. For me, it would be nice if I could have multiple portfolios on my broker. The reason is that it would be helpful for different sized positions. Breaking up the goal a bit perhaps. Good advice to keep most in interest bearing assets while utilizing leverage. Patience thus comes to mind because less margin less profits but that acculumates

The market isn't for you if you're the type to get sucked in and taken advantage of by trading gurus on the internet.
