I really wonder how ppl become as self delusional as Tammy. She needs to realize the only thing SHE has "done" is marry well. She can't take any credit for bringing in the money or anything else. And rather than realize how fortunate she is and maybe trying to give back or be useful she does nothing and treats her 72 yo mother in law like hired help. Heaven forbid she lift a single manicured finger to help out. She considers herself caring and giving when really she's just a useless oxygen thief. Props to Melea for giving all the money to nana. Not that it will phase Tammy bc her self centered bubble is tougher than that.

Nana wouldn't like living with Mila. Nana took that role on herself. My MIL is just like this. My SIL let's her, but I don't. The house is less turmoil when you let the Nana do what she wants and run the house. My SIL is smarter in that way, I lived in my husband's country and know what she really says, so there's that too.

not generally an Eastern background...My ex in India comes from an area highly status conscious and material brands are important... I have lost connection with my Japanese friends so it's been15 years since I had a lot of awareness. I know I always wanted a Japanese boyfriend, and I had two in high school. But in college, I went on a couple dates with a different Japanese dude, a cancer researcher in San Diego (also called Nakamura, funny enough) and he was kinda mean about money, asserting himself as a better person because he had more affluence? Some guys are just jerks, so I dont think it has anything to do with race. Plus, Asians have high respect for their elders, and the son's wife is supposed to take over the whole family duties for Nana. Maybe Nana has some control issues of her own, and thats why she was still doing everything. No doubt there is a culture clash on that issue, but miss whitie should KNOW that isnt okay since she says she is so culturally aware. Plus then she goes over and make the black kids listen to country music? Does any black people listen to country? Ive never seen that happen... those lyrics half the time dont apply.

Tammy went to that family's home & made them do everything for her. They're too nice to that lady . She insulted that daughter, when she's only 13 , when her own son is overweight. My heart was breaking for nana and the other family.

Yes, but a male child of a surgeon is not near as badly in danger as a black girl from a financially truggling home. He gets a heart attack, they buy new organs over in Asia and schedule surgery same day, while if the girl stays like that, can't afford college goes to teenage pregnancy and can't afford diapers and finally can't afford treatment and the circle continues.

Her son is not as severely overweight as the young lady. And most of his life is surrounded by healthy food and people who value exercise. He’s just going through a chubby phase; he will most likely experience a growth spurt and not be an obese adult. The girl on the other hand has some extremely bad and unhealthy habits.
