I cannot understand the negative comments. This house is a historical gem, a time capsule with so many period features present and not renovated to death like so many others. Open a random interior magazine and you’ll find houses like this sensibly renovated retaining the original structures, even to the wall paint and they look like fairytale homes. There is no junk left in this house, all I see is old furniture and maybe some personal effects most probably original to the house. Some of them could certainly be reused and make the house look even prettier when finished. Also there is nothing to fear about renovating an old building that’s structurally sound. We’re so used to this clean uniform looking modern builds, you have to look at a treasure like this with the eyes of an historian and an open heart for preserving what people before you loved and cherished. These houses managed to survive to the present day, there was craftsmanship involved creating them, they deserve to be handled with respect. This kind of electric fixtures are still in use today, there’s Italian companies making them, we have them in our house. You simply install the cables on the plaster fixing them with beautiful porcelain knobs and using porcelain switches.

That can be fixed, but it won't be perfect. It will be the centerpiece of the room, if cleaned and restored properly. The fireplace on the next floor up is enormous, too.

@@samsmom1491 Of course, you can fix everything, but that's not the point. That fireplace has been used intensively for a decades and i wouldn't even want to repair some "natural" damages, just clean, because it is a piece of the character and history of the place! But my problem is, that this fireplace has recently been damaged, could even be the day before, by a very clumsy person or someone who really doesn't care! 🤷🏻♂️✌🏼

I'm curious to know, all these houses that have all these debris and junk in them, who's responsible for removing all that junk from the previous owners. Also why when showing a house in Italy, real estate companies that are responsible for selling the property, display it as is, never cleaning it up for an open house or even a virtual tour. The house is already ruined but at least if the house was empty maybe it wouldn't create much distaste in potential buyers mouth.
@torilea81046 ай бұрын
That’s so funny that you see it like this, I personally find it adds to the charm and authenticity of the property. It is 22 thousand euro for goodness sake, if you come to Australia you could buy something in worse condition than this in Sydney or Melbourne would cost up to 4 million dollars. Anywhere else in Aus and you would still be looking at a million. I think maybe you are a tad spoilt, with that bitter taste in your mouth.
