Trim makes a house. You are so right. Because of the custom trim work that I did in a previous house, my realtor upped the listing price 20K. I git too. Just as important is quality hardware.

That looks amazing! It’s impressive to see how much you’ve grown and expanded over the last 2 years + since I’ve started following you. Great job and thank you for the lessons my friend. I also just realized that the casing around the window in your shop behind the chop saw is Makita Blue…NIIIIICE!

I have been following you since your very beginning on KZbin. I have learned so much valuable information. It helped me to take that first step in my home renovation these last 6 years, more than you know. Everytime I feel rushed I remember your body language and mannerisms to just slow down and do good work. This video is going to be my favorite video. Go slow, be sure and take a step back and look at my work. I appreciate that. Truly Dianna A.

Great job. A small hint about using the pinch clamps. Wrap a rubber band around the tips. The handle will be held apart and gentle squeeze will spread the tips making clamping and removing the springs a snap.

I have a question… what does one do when they have a door that’s jammed into the corner of the room and won’t allow them to make the left and right side vertical legs equal in width?

I agree....the millwork/trim really makes or breaks the aesthetics of a room/home....I recently redid the baby's room and every now n then I'll go in there and pull the curtains back and just kinda take another look....it was my first time doing something like that so I didn't exactly break the bank on quality/high end trim but it's still makes a huge difference compared to the other bedrooms. Great video as always! Enjoy your content !! Thanks !!!!!

When I did my two piece door casings I glued and tacked the back-band on first. That way I only have to cut the miters once since I'm cutting the casing and back-band as one piece. Speeds up the install.

Does having such a large plinth block so close to the hinge side of the door not impede the opening of the door? Surely it will restrict the angle of the open door to the wall behind it? Your work and videos are both excellent Richard. 🇬🇧🇬🇧

Great video. I do have a question. Since you we’re limited to a 3 1/2 width on the trim, would you typically use that same width around the other doors and windows in the room or is it ok to use the full width on the doors that do not have an opposite wall (if that makes sense)? Should they all be the same width? Thanks again.
