Enjoyed watching, thanks. I was always under the impression that the potatoes in cottage pie should resemble the 'roof of a cottage' and should be resting on the meat mixture in layers. Mashed potato on the other hand should be used in Shepherd's pie resembling 'the coat of a sheep'.

We added Parmesan because it's easier to find here than Cheddar Nick. Kate does say that she would use Cheddar if she was making this back in England. Thanks for your comments and for watching this video....hope you have fun with the others!
