@Londinius Frantinius The argument of "It's a Turkish word" is unorthodox itself. But, since you said it's Turkish, I would ask you to show an older recipe than the one of Roman chef Cato the Elder, from around 1000 AD. If you can't, don't even bother claiming stuff you can't back up..

The name is (Athenaeus) and was among some Ancient Greek food writers! I was quoting the words of one of my favourite chefs, and I believe it to be true! Well I respectfully disagree all of you Baklava is not a Greek dessert or Armanian dessert not a Turkish dessert either. Archaeological evidence suggest Baklava is a Hitit dessert . In Battle of Kadesh dessert learned by Soldiers of New Kingdom of Egypt under Ramesses II. From Egypt Persians and İsraili people learn the dessert. Then Greco-Persian Wars Greek people learn this wonderful dessert and They teach the Turks and Armaians. So BAKLAVA is belongs to all human race not one nation... By the way I like your version Arnaldo Vinagre thanks for the tips.
