In preferences of Drawing, I have use Xsheet as animation sheet, however the frame haven’t extended, the result is same as enabled. (I haven’t tick the Enable auto-stretch frame)
@DarrenTAnims5 жыл бұрын
Yes, if you tick the auto-stretch, it should extend the drawing to fill in the gap

In the rough, you traced and moved the ball, and later copied and pasted. Is there a reason you did the trace? Does it have to do with OpenToonz not being able to find all the versions of the ball?

Hi. Thanks for the question. I didn't do this because there was a problem. I did this to show 2 different techniques to create new frames.

Hello there! Why 1-9-11? I cannot get the “middle” thing.
@DarrenTAnims6 жыл бұрын
Those frames just "felt" right for the timing. Plus, I wanted the frame ranges so I could halve them for simpler timing charts (for the sake of the demo) and to keep them on odd numbers so I could inbetween on 2s and then 1s afterwards. I'm not sure what you mean by the middle thing.

Darren T You said it 9 is in the middle between 1 and 11. What do you mean by that?
@DarrenTAnims6 жыл бұрын
What I was trying to say was that the drawing on frame 9 should be placed geographically (visually) in the middle of the 2 drawings, 1 & 11 even though the timing is on frame 9. So that the ball is drawn as far from the location of the ball on frame 1 as it is from the drawing of the ball on frame 11. Then the other inbetweens are also drawn "in the middle" of their respective drawings either side. I hope that helps.

Darren T Though I finally understood that I do not know how to apply this techinque to my animation process and if I should do in general.
@DarrenTAnims6 жыл бұрын
Logan Barry, not necessarily. Whilst inbetweening can be useful to help pace out an animation, it's just one technique. Straight ahead animation works just as well for some styles of animation. But it might be a technique worth trying some time.

i cant right click on the timeline

It depends where you click as to what you see. If it still doesn't work, try asking in this discord: discord.gg/MGcAdt

if you would have clicked in view and pasted the finished ball, i bet it would have renamed the drawing numbers to be sequential.
@DarrenTAnims6 жыл бұрын
As I recall, when I've pasted, it uses the next available number after the highest drawing number that you've got. So if you've got "Use xsheet as animation sheet" and you've drawn on frame 50 last (which will make that drawing number 50) and then paste, the next drawing will be 51, even if you've only got 10 drawings. But sometime OpenToonz doesn't different things for vector and raster drawings, so you've got to take it case by case. The main thing is that sometimes you've got to recognise that the drawing numbers are different to the frame numbers and sometime you need to renumber them for them to make sense.
