Traditional Mangalorean Style Bangda Rava Fry | Mackerel Fish Fry - Seafood
Being a Mangalorean and hailing from Konkan coastal belt my food inclinations are very obvious. Like millions of folks belonging to the coastal region, fish is an integral part of my food habit.
Fish curry rice is a staple food in most homes, served with a simple sabji. But someday we crave for fried fish. Best paired with steam rice and dal/ sambar. But you can serve it as a starter also. Here I have coated the fish with a mixture of semolina and rice powder.
The bangda fish can be grilled, steamed, fried, or even used in curries. At times we use it to make cutlets as this fish is very fleshy.
Bangda fish has tons of health benefits. It has a high level of fatty acids like Omega-3 that helps maintain heart health. Not only that, but it also helps in maintaining the cholesterol levels of the body.
