This is really good to hear. If you’re traditional, marry a traditional woman. If you’re modern, marry a modern woman. Covid showed us that most parents don’t want to be home with their kids lol. They were willing to send them out into a pandemic instead of them learning at home lol.

I 100% agree with your comment, "if you're traditional, marry traditional. If you're modern, marry mordern." It is essential for individuals to build relationships that are tailored to their families' goals, desires, and needs. In my opinion, a traditional/modern couple will often clash since each person has competing perspectives on the roles and functions of a man/woman in a relationship. It would be best for a modern person to marry a modern person and vice versa.

I’ll consider myself more traditional, I can’t do the modern, the homeschool and providing for the home means something to God more.

I love that question AO, because I am a woman that likes my engineering career. If that's modern, then okay. I'll be a modern wife that still puts her family first and handles the domestic duties of my home (a hybrid traditional🤣 ..haha). God has given me the grace to do both. Nice conversation though.

AO showed us an example of a successful and happy traditional couple. I would love to see him find and interview a successful and happy modern couple (with kids). If he has, please reference it for me to search for. Thanks

It sounds like on top of them having a traditional marriage, he does not have a traditional job, job schedule or job salary. I think that makes a huge difference in their happiness and contentment levels. My assumption.

Do a modern marriage episode. There are always two sides to a coin. Will be nice to hear the pros/cons from people who are actually practicing modern marriage in the world of 2022.

Traditional all the way for me…I thought I wanted a career and a family but that quickly changed when I had my son. I don’t want to go back to the rat race so to speak. I enjoy being able to take care of my son without daycare

I love everything about traditional marriage..My reason being is because it's absolutely more time with God and family.. Most people will say I have more time with God and my family while working ,but that's hard to believe, because you cant do several things at once.. I once worked and now im a full-time wife/mother/ SAHM and I can focus on everything that truly matters all in once in the comfort of my own home, and im so grateful, because a career or job is not what God will be asking did we stewed well.. it will be what we was called to do..If your a wife or mother you was called to do it unto the lord💯❤

The traditional role was that “wife barefoot and in kitchen all day” and still is in some homes. My mom was the breadwinner of the family while my dad pastored a church. I only saw my dad cook once. My mom would come back from work after stopping by the market and stay up cooking because dad didn’t like eating food cooked by others. We had Nannies also. Your traditional role is newly invented and I like it. It’ll just take time for people who grew up in the traditional home I explained to shift their mindset to the one you’re talking about.

I am curious, she said working outside of the home makes you a modern wife but I want to know if a high powered job from home makes a difference. There are also many business owners from home working crazy hours. I think the time is more important than the location. I’m planning to go part time when I have children.

I hear this and like that she also has support in looking after the domestic because he recognises that its a lot. As a modern woman, I actually like this setup, but it takes a lot of trust and honesty which especially means the man absolutely has to make enough financially and keep his mind on the goal (I.e. don’t be out there playing). Someone I respect said to me “marriage is a business deal” and the more I reflect on that statement, the more agree with it.

Sorry to barge in the conversation like that, but if you want to get all traditional about marriage, then arranged marriage is what you're aiming for, no love involved, your spouse is picked for you by your parents, and if you're a king or something, your spouse is probably going to be the princess of a neighboring kingdom in order to cement an alliance.

Don’t get fooled by her body language, the same way a leopard gets fooled by a hedgehog’s cuteness. She is not the dominant one in their marriage, she is the extroverted one-that is what emanates from her body language. The husband is the introverted one, but the leader. Just like Bill Gates, Simon Sinek and many other introverts. A woman will stay with a man who is unable to lead her and her family. You will this even with animals; the females seek the stronger one. If she is excited like this my friend, and has been with him during all their hardships? Fear this man.
