I always tell my wife... I can't believe how healthy and organic we used to eat back in Mexico and we didn't appreciate it. Back in Mexico the wealthy go to Walmart and the poor to farmers market (tianguis/sobre ruedas) and here in the US the poor go to Walmart and the wealthy go to farmers market. It's nice to see people from other countries fall in love with Mexican food and culture.

It's chemicals that give fruits their characteristic flavor. For oranges it's octyl acetate (formula C10H20O2) for bananas 3-methylbutyl acetate (formula C7H14O2). They're all made of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen, the same compounds found in air. If a scientist can create them in a lab instead of having to grow fruit then why not? Until you find out that Mexico is the leading manufacturer of "Fake" Chocolate in the Americas. All the natural Fruit pops in the world will never wipe that sin clean. *Sniffles*
@Snixol6 жыл бұрын
Wtf did you just say😔🤔
@Alte.Kameraden6 жыл бұрын
@@Snixol fake chocolate. ie it doesn't fit the official definition of chocolate, similar to "American" Cheese not officially being actual cheese. Fake Chocolates have some advantages, like higher melting temperatures, and likely why they're very common in Mexico vs say traditional Chocolate. Sadly they're also cheaper, and taste different than Milk Molt Chocolates and Dark Chocolates. Being they often miss a primary ingredient in real chocolate, that is always missing in fake chocolates, is "Cocoa Butter" which is the cocoa nut oil from the cocoa bean. It's what makes Chocolate melt in your hand. Artificial Chocolates replace Cocoa Butter with synthetics or natural replacements, like Vegetable Oil, or Hydrogenated Oils of whatever kind the manufacturer wishes to use. In turn, most fake chocolate still uses Cocoa Powder, but it doesn't taste the same, so they have to add other artificial and natural ingredients to make it taste like chocolate. For example. A Yoohoo Bar (same brand as the Drink) is Fake Chocolate. A Hersey's Bar (whether you like them or not I hate them worst natural Chocolate out there) is real chocolate. Both taste fine I guess Hersey's being one of the cheapest, natural chocolate brands out there so ya it's disgusting. Yoohoo bar taste better, but it's fake, engineered to taste good. Hersey's is limited by it's ingredients and recipe as the Hersey's Company doesn't want to be branded as "Fake" but the recipe they use is about as cheap as real chocolate can get uses more sugar and cream than other brands of real chocolate, and worse Hersey's ferments the cream so it has a weird taste to it which is off putting if you're using to real dark and milk chocolates. PS The difference between Dark and Milk is that Milk Chocolate uses Cream on top of Cocoa Butter, often mixed together then combined with sugar and Cocoa Powder to create a lighter, smoother tasting Chocolate bar that isn't as bitter/strong as Dark Chocolate.
