Their accents alone are a deterrent enough. How could anyone survive listening to a garda with those awful Louth accents? Everyone would turn in their insurance licence tax car the lot, just to stop hearing the awful drone and drab of Louth accents.

don't they have police helicopters in Ireland that they can use on this show to act as a deterrent to motorists? In the UK equivalent of this show I've seen the cops call in the chopper when a driver tries to escape

Well yes but there are only 2 and the process to get em in the air is so long most gardá don't bother
