On April 2nd, 2022, I captured footage of Seattle Fire responding to a derelict bar fire in north Seattle's Crown Hill neighborhood. The fire was contained to one building, and there were no injuries.
Seattle's drivers were in their usual fine form here, as at least two drove over what looked to be a charged hose line. There was also a person who tried to walk through the fire scene with their dogs. On the plus side, I'm briefly visible capturing footage for my other youtube channel, which can be viewed here: • *Huge* Seattle Fire re...
This was edited down from about 45 minutes of footage. I was still in bed when the PulsePoint app went off, so I threw on some clothes, quickly started recording the traffic camera, and ran out the door. I'm glad I did, as I ended up with some fairly dramatic footage, especially when the tree flared up.
Video highlights:
1:17 - Tree adjacent to the fire building catches fire
4:33 - People driving over the hose
5:04 - Firefighters cutting through a fence
6:23 - Walking dogs through the fire scene
10:47 - Cameo from yours truly
Thanks for watching!
