I had just completed 6 months of Military training when this Album was released .. I was on my way home to enjoy 30 days leave .. Here Comes the Sun was the first song I heard .. after 6 months of intense military training , this song summed up my joy of going home for 30 days to visit family ,reuniting with friends , and the satisfaction of accomplishing my goal ..I was single , 18 years old , with a great Military career ahead of me .. ..

Ha, my dad's older sister was a teenager at the height of Beatlemania and now she has a room in the house with Beatles memorabilia. I can't imagine what it was like being a teenager in the 60s when the Beatles were inescapable. I bet it drove my grandmother nuts having to hear their records every minute lol. When Paul McCartney came here on his One on One tour in 2017, we got tickets and my aunt came with us. It was the most awesome concert I ever went to.

Back in 1973, my friend and I went to London on a school trip. On our last night in London, we took a cab to Abbey Road and knocked on the door. The night watchman opened the door and we asked if we could come inside, and take a tour. He thought for a second and said, "Well I shouldn't. but OK." What a treat that was! We went everywhere. Even that famous room with the staircase leading up to the control booth!"

Mister City Policeman, why don't we do it in the road? I don't know London that well, so I cannot comment on whether it would have been practical for the local council to re-route traffic away from that end of Abbey Road on this day in particular. Apparently, I hear that they have an ongoing daily problem with peoples posing on this crossing... so I don't think it takes much imagination to realise that they would be there in droves on this, the 50th anniversary. Didn't they learn anything from the 40th anniversary in 2009?
