"A new revelation" should make us shudder - either with healthy fear of a pursuasive deception: or with a reverent gratitude that God has shown us genuine Truth that will change our lives. Some things in God's Word have always been there, we have simply failed to ask the questions that lead to divine revelation/illumination of God's plan. Examples: we all know the Bible says lots about how a spouse should treat the one they married, but what about getting from single to married? We all know the book of Acts is the model for apostolic practice, so what does Acts say about conflict? Church planting? Church discipline? There's more to that book than our favorite 'go-to' chapters - 2, 8, 10 & 19.
