My friend Irma M. was kidnapped leaving work one afternoon. My sister picked me up, we offered her a ride home, she refused bc it was far out of our way. Worst decision. She was driven to Mexico to the red light district. She worked as call girl by being threatened with death. One day an American man, realized she was American and she confided in him, and he never used her, told her to wait for him by the exit door. She did. He rescued her. It was 2 very long years but that man was an angel among us.

I had a "friend", Mary, in high school that tried to divide me from my mother. My mom always didn't like her. I got into a fight with my mom and Mary talked me into running away. We stayed the night at a man's house, Curtis, who was in his 40s. He had male friends, who came to his house and Mary wanted me to go with her so we could "go shopping". I had no clue what was going on and Curtis spoke up and said, "No. She can stay here." After a few minutes, he asked me if I was hungry. He then looked at me and said, "You don't know who she is and she is not your friend. You remind me of my daughter and whatever differences you and your mom have, you need to go home." He made me call my mom, gave me his address, and she came immediately. The more stories like this that came out over the years, I KNOW how lucky I am. It has made me VERY aware of my surroundings and it's hard to trust people.

The Church of Scientology has been trafficking children for decades. Some of the now adult “second gens” are speaking out about the abuse they endured on their SPTV KZbin channels. Their voices are ignored and dismissed by media, law enforcement and agency advocates and authorities. Their abuse deserves to be recognized and their perpetrators need to be held accountable.

Well, it’s Texas. So there’s that. But also, human trafficking wasn’t really on the radar of authorities back then. If you had used the term “trafficking” in the late 1990s, I doubt many people would know what you meant. And this young girl kept claiming she just ran away from home on her own, and that “nothing happened.” As she said, she felt embarrassed and ashamed, although it certainly was not her fault. Her parents should have gone after the guy…kidnapping, taking her over state lines, rape, assault, pimping her out, taking her ID, money and clothes, forced labor. And I’m certain he’d done this before many times. If I were her parent, I would never stop until the guy got life without parole, and I would have gone after her “friend” too.

@@user-kl8lo6rj5i 🎯🎯🎯 Once your kid is born, it's not about you any more. Depressed? Too bad! Get out of bed and make sure your kid has breakfast, clean clothes and lunch for school! Not happy in your marriage? Don't cheat on your spouse! Either learn to compromise or get a divorce! Put the needs of your children (and spouse if you're married AND YOU SHOULD BE MARRIED) first. This girl's life would've turned out so much differently if her parents focused less on their own misery than on what would make their little girl thrive. There are so many lessons to take away from this horrific experience. God bless this young lady for making the best of things and serving as a cautionary tale for others.

At the beginning, Mary said "my trafficking started at home". She said that twice, and to me it doesn't mean it started on her phone or computer, but that her awful experience could happen because of the attention and care she didn't get. The trafficker identified that feeling, that deep human desire for connection, and preyed on it - in fact, he didn't even asked her to do nothing but chat, and for a long time! So the message she gave by the end, to always listen and keep the door open to our children, is so, so, so important! The great artist Jewel said that attention is the most sincere form of devotion. Love is a feeling; attention is the feeling in motion. Don't say "I love my kids": prove it by paying attention to them. That's the best thing we can do to protect them from these monsters. Thank you Mary for your story and for your powerful message.

Yeah, that line struck me, too. Didn't surprise me, but it's so powerful that she told her story using that line. For people out there that aren't aware of what "street life" is REALLY like, they don't understand that most people end up in positions like hers - or where I once was - because they're not getting what they need and deserve at home. DFCS in MOST states mandate that parents be able to do more than just house, clothe, feed, educate and provide medical care their child. They typically also require parents be able to identify and prioritize the CHILD'S needs ahead of THEIR OWN. To be able to empathize with their child and tend to their EMOTIONAL needs. My parents weren't much different than hers or her friend's. My mom was absent. She was an alcoholic. Every day from the first grade, I came home from school and she was passed out. So, I poured out her vodka, made sure she was breathing, and did whatever I wanted everyday until I moved out. I was SIX and knew the DIFFERENCE between WATER and SKOAL. My dad was always working. I got into drugs at 14. I quit, got a job, was on the honor roll in college, but when I lost my little family due to my drinking, I went to AA and NA meetings to quit. That led me to a bf that introduced me to Heroin. I ended up becoming an IV Heroin addict. It took about 6 years of hell in my twenties - a time your supposed to be "happy" to quit. I did. Then it took another 4 or 5 years to get where I am today. Clean, working a great job again, thinking about finishing my nursing degree. It's not easy. And people don't realize how often it starts so young, at home. Thank you for sharing your story. Thank God you're here, you're alive. You're an amazing survivor.

I’ve been binge watching this channel & once I got to the Trafficking stories my heart & stomach dropped! I kept passing up the videos because I am a rape & dv Survivor 💜. Hi my name is Sara. From 5 to 11 years old I was groomed, raped, tortured, sold, & brainwashed by my uncle. He programmed me to be his little ‘princess’ or ‘kitten’. I learned to disassociate when horrible things were happening to me. I still have chunks of memories missing & get flashbacks. Certain things , smells, or even sounds make me want to go into fight or flight mode. I have CPTSD, anxiety, flashbacks, & OCD. It has taken me along time to somewhat heal. The trauma I endured will always be with me. I can finally say it was NOT my fault, I did not deserve it, I didn’t ask for it, & I love myself. I used to have so much anger & hatred in my heart. I didn’t get any type of justice all because of the people my uncle knew. It was like what happened to me didn’t happen. There was no ‘proof’ even though I remember being recorded 😢. I am glad I decided to watch these videos because these women are absolutely AMAZING, BRAVE, STRONG, & SURVIVORS! Y’all are enough & deserve so much better. Thank you for telling your stories! I’m a survivor myself. Let me just say, a lot of these traffickers get away with it because there’s not enough evidence and even if there is enough evidence the courts will sit on it because they want larger much grander crimes like drug trafficking and money laundering and organized crimes… it’s so sad the number of women that never see justice because of a corrupt justice system. The sad thing too is that there are some higher up people within the system who are also involved in it. They get a cut or they get their choice of girls if there are multiple women… I can tell you in my case… doctors, officers, fire marshal, and even the ceo of a major corporation was involved. It’s not all cut and dry unfortunately. It can take years to even build a case. In cases with a Romeo Pimp (my situation) they can even place blame on you and slap you with prostitution charges because you “loved” them so you must have been a willing participant.

1st- I am so happy that you're alive! As someone who lived in a domestic violence marriage for nearly 10 years, let me tell you what I've learned -- When you face what happened to you, you change from victim to survivor. When you choose to help others, you change from survivor to WARRIOR! Fight on, my darling. Fight on for those who need a champion. 💜 2nd- I live very close to Alexandria. Kudos to APD for taking the tip seriously. Shame on them for not recognizing you as a victim immediately. Hopefully, they've received better training by now!

My big takeaway from this is for parents to learn to be attentive to the needs of their children. Middle shool and high school years are challenging. Let your kids know that you love them and they matter to you otherwise they may seek attention from the wrong people. I really appreciate Mary's story and I'm glad she emerged from this with a purpose to do something to help others in the same situation. You rock, Mary!

She said it was his word against mine, and more than likely, I wouldn't be able to prove it and just traumatize myself... well, he ended up messing with his daughter 😢 It is important to separate what happened to you and the shame and embarrassment it causes! It wasn't our choice, so we shouldn't carry the shame either. Also, hold those accountable. You are worth it, and so is the next victim! Stay strong and grow through what you go through!

Im a cop & that was the archaic “old school” bullsh*t mentality that happened before I got on the job in 2000. It was awful. The sex workers were punished humiliated & fined yet the johns & pimps walked around free. If nothing else, Im glad that mentality (i cant speak for all cops, but i can say that in 24yrs the newer gen z & millenials are so much better knowing these girls/women are VICTIMS) no longer thinks this way. I was a sex crimes investigator, so my job was to help women like Mary. I am so impressed with her strength, how she adapted to help others. Mary RULES!!! ❤

This hits very close to home for me..and I'm so sorry she had to go through this. I was also 16 years old when I met an older guy online. He convinced me to meet him at a Cheesecake factory and said we could have dinner. I chose to do that over going to my prom that night. My parents had no idea. He ended up convincing me to let him drive me back to my school where prom was still going on, but instead he ended up taking me to Mexico. With no money, he told me I needed to help us survive and do my part. I thought I was in love, so I obliged. I met women there who showed me how to please a man l, and after my first night doing those horrible things...I tried to find a restaurant with a phone and I called my parents. They told me due to laws the police couldn't come and get me across the border. They had to get papers to sign off. The police also advised my parents not to come get me themselves, as it could be dangerous and instigate the guy further, making it a hostage situation. I stayed in someone's backyard in a trailer, not for free. The worst possible payment just to have a roof over my head. He slept with me in that trailer, and the third night I told him I couldn't do it anymore. To just please let me call my mom and dad. He said okay, but we had to wait until tomorrow to go and use a public phone. As I did not have one.. I woke up in the middle of the night with a pocket knife lodged in the wood above the bed. I could have died that night, and had no idea who put it there. We heard gunshots at night, it was later told to me that it was war between policia and cartel. They would drive by in jeeps shooting at each other...it was the most horrifying sound I could ever imagine. When the police finally came to get me, they surrounded the trailer and were screaming "get out of there or we'll shoot!" And I remember thinking...don't they know I'm in here? So I screamed as loud as I could, and the door to the trailer busted open. They were so scary. Everything was so scary, that I tried to crawl out of the window of the trailer while they were putting him on the ground. An officer came over and hugged me from behind. He didn't say anything else other than "it's okay now" and I just cried. I cried so hard, so much, for the entire ride in their car back to this border station where other police were waiting with food and drinks in a white room for me. My parents were waiting for me in the front office of their station, they weren't allowed to see me at first. And I remember when I first saw them...none of us knew how to act. We hugged but it was..just really awkward. Not the comfort you would expect, but the shock of it all just probably hit us entirely at that moment. I think they were afraid to lose me again after that, and sent me to a girl's home in Utah called Cedar Breaks Academy. The abuse there continued..just in a different way. All girls who had been through something horrible, forced to be told they are the problem. Orange jumpsuits and picking weeds as a punishment for small things, but if you broke a big rule like stealing a cigarette from a therapist they would wrap your sleeves of your orange jump suit, tie it behind your back so you couldn't move, and keep you in the "calm room" for 3-7 hours. I still remember a girl who tried to run, tripped on the barbed wire they had hiding in the grass surrounding the girls home, which was just a renovated old hotel. Her legs...they were torn to shreds and I remember them just saying "should we call her mom?" I'm fairly sure this is all unnecessary information, but it kind of feels good to let it out, like she is in this video right now. You gain a certain confidence from hearing others speak of their horrific experience..because you know you're not alone in yours. So thank you for this video, and thank you for speaking out. Making others aware of these issues is a big step in making the world a better place. I hope anyone who has gone through this has happiness in their life now, and has had an opportunity to heal. ❤
