I'd like to think the " This Hotel is my atlantis" lyric is partially what you're thinking. Given the fact that atlantis is described as a paradise but ultimately fell to ruin. As such, the hotel being there Atlantis means they feel it to be their paradise but worry that it will disappear at some point.

The Atlantis of myth was a highly advanced civilization, peace, prosperity. A safe haven as it were. Angel probably thinks of the hotel as a safe haven away from Valentino, knowing what the contract says between them...

Apparently that charcter was her father, Izzi. He was a radical anarchist in Australia in the 80s and he convinced her to sacrifice herself in a suicide bombing for his cause.

Just as a point of reference you don't know, addict came out way before the official Amazon series so it has not only diferent VA cast, but also it is early in the timeline, making it sort of the earliest point where we see Angel actually vulnarable. Also not quite sure how canon it is

So definitely, you should do a whole playlist. Helluva Boss (sister series to Hazbin Hotel) and all the fan songs. Addict was a fan song that Vivzi loved so much she had the team make the video Vivzi did confirm that the pilot is no longer canon but it's still real fun to watch Also again suggesting you do that thing where you block the screen and just listen to the music. Those were fun Edit: Anthony was the son of a mob boss in the 40s. He od'd on Angel Dust. And (I can't remember if it's confirmed or a fan theory) throughout the video Cherri is blowing up things that belong to Valentino. Cause fuck him. 😂

She definitely blows up at least one billboard with his likeness, and it seems to be the ending of them blowing up a stripper club, similar to the one Angel was dancing in at the start.

No, no Cherri is not Valentinos "property" but she hates him because of what he does to Angel Dust. She's - as far as we know - Angel Dust best friend. The name "Cherri Bomb" comes from the pyrothechnics called cherry bomb. Yes, pun intended. The picture on the water poodle resembles an old character from Zoophobia - a demon hunter called Izzi. It is yet to see if he reappers and what he has to do with Cherri.

This was originally a fan made song, (the lyrics ) but there’s a person on KZbin named Paranoid DJ who makes AMAZING Fan songs, he’s song a lot of ones for Hazbin Hotel like for Husk, Alastor, Cherri, Vox , Valentino, etc. including one for Angel Dust called ‘Use me up’ and a remix called ‘Use me up VIP’ another person made anamatics for the two songs too I think you’d love it

You should definitely watch the pilot, if only that it gives Cherri and Angel's best friend relationship a good showing. I really felt like the amazon show did her dirty, she feels so different between the show and the pilot and this song. She and Alistair, who also gets great introduction, were my absolute favourites when we only had the pilot.

Addict was basically the only new content/lore we got for Hazbin in the five year gap between the pilot and the Amazon series that wasn't, like, obscure interviews with Vivziepop. The fact it gives us lore on Cherri Bomb when neither the pilot nor the official series did is a TRAVESTY! I get A24/Amazon probably gave them that limited 8 episode order so some stuff had to be put on the back burner, but still. Hopefully season 2 elaborates on her and who that weird-looking guy is.

I definitely agree that you should watch the pilot as well as Helluva Boss. Something I would add for Helluva Boss (just because I've seen some other newer fans coming from Hazbin make this mistake) is that basically none of the characters in Helluva Boss are sinners like in Hazbin. They're Hellborn, so born in hell, and can die a lot easier than sinners. They never had a mortal life. I would also recommend a quick glance at the hierarchy of hell as well, because it helps put all the characters in perspective.

Yesss all of the Hazbin fan songs 🤩💖 I love this one, especially since we don't get to see much of Angel and Cherri together in the prime show. ParanoidDJ has some great ones for specific characters, particularly Eyes On Me for Vox, Ringleader for Fizzaroli, My Machine for Sir Pentious, and We're Sure To Drown for Husk. Some of my faves for Lucifer specifically are: Change the Order (Paranoid DJ), Sin of Pride (Red Rob), Wash It Clean (Caleb Hyles) And for Alastor: Age of Stereo (Oricadia), Tune On In (TSUYO), Turn The Volume Up (Rustage), Can't Be Saved (Fabvl), Hazbin Hotel - Alastor (Daddyphatsnaps)

Looked up what it meant to call something your Atlantis and found a reddit post about someone's theory Credit to Unleashedmode -> 'I have been looking for that same answer but no good results my best guess is that angeldust means that the hotel is his escape to peace from hell but I am not sure thats just my best guess'

Honestly, since you actually know something about music, I think it would actually be more interesting to hear your comments on the songs after hearing them a second time. That way you'll have the full context for the songs and unlike most reaction youtubers you'll have some analysis to bring to the table. First time watch reactions are great and all, but we could do with some more expert takes on what it is that makes the music go brrrrr in my brain.
