Your video really captured the essence of this trail. It also brought back a lot of memories. After I drove Top of the World years ago by myself, I told my wife that she would love the view. When I finally took her, she got really nervous about 3/4 of the way up so we turned around. So close! Then she told the story at work and a coworker shamed her into trying it again, lol. We went the next year and she hung in there all the way! Hey, happy anniversary!

Having done this trail a couple of times, it’s no joke. Seems like your new Jeep would do this with less stress (and no damage) This trail is a place you’ll end up saying “that’s what they’re there for” at least a dozen times. Enjoyed the video, thank you for sharing.

Worst case the service 4wd means your transfer caee is on the way out. Best scenario it is the little servo motor starting to fail at the rear diff I believe . I had that motor replaced and no problem since.

Taking my SR5 4Runner to Moab in Oct-22. 2"lift, skids and sliders, no lockers. Of course tires !! TOTW was on the "maybe" list, 'cause I don't have lockers.. After watching your vid it has been moved to the "oh hell yeah, we're doing this" list. Very informative vid. I loved it.

Man...that was an awesome trail!...specially for a std. JEEP (not doable without your air-lift IMHO), my 2007 Commander has traditional suspension, but lifted 2" with 265/70R17 AT tires (31.5") for a total of 3" lift (suspension+tires)... and no winch. Is my wife's commuter...so I think I'll never dare to do that kind of trail, unless is mandatory!...😅. I also have the Q.D.II, but mine been older, it has the front ELSD also...that would prevent some wheel spin comparing with the TCS. You are a truly adventurer family!, I'm glad you made it through this horrible Pandemic times...you make a great team!...congratulations!, keep that spirit!!

I did this in my Cherokee Trailhawk with a 2 inch lift and stock tires. Its a stressful trail being that stock, but tons of fun and very doable with a GC and a Cherokee. We also had a guy in a stock Montero Sport who ramped up every hard section make it all the way up minus one ledge which he had to get pulled up. I highly recommend this trail and love you guys covering it.

I've yet to do anything as serious as this, but I'm really impressed with the capability of my Cherokee Trailhawk. When I bought it, I honestly thought I was getting mostly 'show' specs rather than real off-road prowess. It will never match a Wrangler, but with a 2" lift and a good set of tires, it can take you a lot of places you would not think possible by looking at it.

Be careful with having all your tire pressures that far apart. Yeah they should be lowered but they should all be as close as you can possibly get them to each other. This would help prevent rollovers.

I am also getting that warning light regularly in my GC. In my case it's only happening in the morning and then goes away, often for days at at time, not to mention the rest of any given day. It never comes on during afternoon or evening, only during the first use. Im sure its an electronics bug somewhere. I'll be interested to see if you ever land on a solid cure for that in your case though. Happy trails brother. Keep on keepin on.

Great videos and I enjoy following along. In reference to your "Service 4WD" I can only offer some speculation as I am not there with a code reader. I have worked at a few Jeep dealerships over the years and there is a common theme and it frequently turns out to be the electric motor that bolts into the rear axle differential. This controls your limited slip. There is a very strong possibility that this motor is giving you some early warning signs that it preparing an exit strategy from your Jeep within the near future. I would get one directly from you local Jeep dealer. Do not order one on line. The mechanism is very sensitive and can be damaged if it is dropped. It may look okay but inside it may be damaged. More often than not, ones bought on line got dropped in shipping and would not work after installation. If your Jeep is off the ground enough, a skinny person can slide under and do the swap if you have to do the swap on the trail as opposed to the local dealership. A competent 4x4 shop should also be able to perform the swap. Probably a good time to do a complete drive line inspection and fluid changes. All the best to you for the ride on the trails! Plate C

Brad, another great video and love to see the drone footage and how that’s evolved! Question, recently got my first Jeep, a 2018 wk2 overland. Getting rid of the stock tires and would like to put 275/55/r20’s on from the stock 265/55/r20 but I am worried about if they will be too tall and getting a dealer to reprogram speedo/odometer. I know you have a lift on yours but didn’t know if you had bigger tires put on before the lift? Thanks!
