Looks wonderful. I like running abroad but I knew nothing about Madeira. And I like running up hills! So it's now on my list... I notice you use running poles. Do you find them really helpful?

Hey! Thanks for commenting. In my opinion, if you're training in a hard place or you're running an extremely hard ultra then go for it. Otherwise, poles don't matter. This is a tough subject, it's all personal. Do what you need to do :)

Wow looks amazing out there Craig. Never seen steps like that in the middle of the roads coz it's so steep! Are you thinking about the Madeira Ultra?

Cheers Ben! I'd like to give MIUT a go one day. From what I can see, it looks absolutely brutal and possibly harder than the full UTMB if the distance was longer given the elevation gain on the route for the 100km. One day I'm sure... Good luck with the 100km for UTS
