My 08 envoy fan clutch does not have that wire harness connected to it. So some models not have it?

I take two of the fan to clutch bolts out (one from each side ) and replace with two exact bolts but a inch longer finger tight, then remove the last two short bolts, this extra inch allows you to push the fan toward the engine and get more clearance to pull out all shroud clutch together and much easier to put back in, also prevents clutch accidentally falling into radiator and damaging fins

First, I see no coolant came out of the radiator or hose. Leaking water pump drained all the coolant, or was this pre-drained? So your title said fan clutch replacement why didn’t you take the fan shroud out with the fan clutch before you played with the water pump housing bolts, like more room? I’d this process before, it’s not as easy as you make it look. Kind of like Chris Fix, slight Uugh and bolt comes loose and parts slide right out...NOT.

Phil W, when a water pump fails - it drains out the coolant from the weep hole which is why you didn't see us drain any coolant. Plus, you don't have to drain out ALL of the coolant. Due to gravity, the weep hole will drain out the coolant that is in the upper part of the engine. You do not have to empty the coolant in the radiator as it is not affected by this repair, you only have to remove the upper radiator hose to pull out the fan shroud. We had to remove some of the bolts on the water pump pulley in order to have enough clearance to get the fan shroud out. We hope this helps and thanks for the comments.
