We've trailered our Ultimate 18, Lady Emma, all the way to Brisbane in search of some warm sunny weather. Our first destination is Peel Island in Moreton Bay. We launched at Cleveland on a Friday afternoon with no real plan for the week other than see where the wind takes us.
Join us as we venture offroad, chasing landscapes painted with rich sunset colours and some beautiful swimming holes.
Get out there and travel Australia, it's amazing.
Also a big thanks to my wife Racheal (AKA - WE SHOOT STUFF PHOTOGRAPHIC SERVICES) and Amelie for there awesome photography. Check out her facebook page or website www.weshootstuff.com.au
Enjoy!

Love your videos. That is one cute little boat. We started out in Corio Bay too but your way of trailering around the country and putting the boat in the water anywhere looks fantastic.Keep up the great adventures and be safe.

Great video - I love the honesty. I have a big family too and this has convinced me that I'd either need a bigger boat or would just aim for solo sailing!

Thanks Duncan. Our 18 footer is cosy but with the pop top is workable for the 4 of us. There are some nice 23-25 foot trailer sailers that would be more roomy if you're looking for more space. I couldn't imagine leaving the family behind. Sailing as a family is great fun.

That was a great save of your hat. Good reflexes. 6 plus knots! Great performance with that load on board. Thanks for the vid. Very enjoyable.

Thanks Chris. We were pretty impressed with 6 knots. I do like that hat, so was glad to save it. I remember that you lost your much loved hat some time back. Some great sailing coming up in the next video.

This sailing adventure is about the best I have seen, could be because I have followed your progress from around Corio bay, to now the wilds of QLD waters. All your family members make for a great crew, Rachael looked a little green for a miniute there, but did not falter. Your sail triming is working and I pick up tips . I am still about 6 months befor putting up the mast on my boat. But the floods about to atinve in the Murray and Darling river might set me back a bit, if the work shop goes under. Well done Baz, and crew, you keep me motivated

Thanks James. We're all having more fun than I can describe travelling and learning to sail our little trailer sailer. Good luck with your restoration and the floods. I hope it all works out and doesn't set you back too much.

@@VentureOffroadAustralia4x4 You remind me of myself. I've taught myself welding, auto mechanics, carpentry, boat building, plumbing, electrical, farming, sailing , and a few other things in my 70 yrs. I'm no expert at any one thing but usually good enough to get by. I love learning new skills. I'm finishing my third house now and restoring a Mariner 19. I'm convinced that taying active and learning new skills is good for you.

I couldn't agree more Jim. I always say, if you don't use it, you lose it. Keeping the mind and body active is the key to a long, happy life. At least I hope it is. Learning new things is part of that, it's fun and can save money if you can do jobs yourself.

This is a super video adventure for trailables. Only suggestion is to add a map image, for those not familiar with your locale. Thanks for brightening up a raining day :D

Like the boom tent where did you get that from. Would be keen on one of those for my boat here in nz

The boom tent and cabin tent both came with the boat. I think a previous owner had them custom made at a canvas place.
