You only need to cover the back vent the dust is not coming in the front vent. The dust in coming in the back of the trailer when it's swirling around the back doors. The front vent will force air out of the cracks where your doors are not sealed and keep the dust out. See a video by gonagain

Use 2 of your discs, a bit larger than the ABS flange (or same size & use the 3 screws to attach bottom disc to flange using EDPM type rubber gasket) use a #10 washers & a finger twist headed bolt (not wingnut) in center to be adjustable and allow top disc to rotate, make a Butterfly Vent cover by cutting out 3 or 4 triangles. Use gasket 3/16 under bottom disc. Put a very thin flat ring of hard Delrin sheet under top disc. Maybe 1/16 or 1/32" thick. Use center bolt to adjust tension as needed. Countersinks where needed. eBay has some nice miniature chromed metal knobs for under a buck, from China so there is a bit of a wait time. CHEERS!

And then, make & sell them for pocket money. Research the various sizes available, then make for those sizes. If you do, send me one.

Nice John. Those plasma cutters are just the "Cat's Meow" I wish I had one. I think your cover's turned out really cool. They should work (I hope)Take Care and God Bless.

EXCELLENT idea, but since you have the cutter, maybe cut 2 discs to go into the I.D. place magnets on them and put them INTO the vent, 1 on the outside, the other inside, you could tack some bolts to them to hold a knob for when you want to open them, do these trailers build up allot of condensation?? Thinking of getting one and would hate to cut holes in it for vents.
