Good work & nothing broken is always a win. The thoughts from Rory are a good help. Whether working in sand & mud, to snow & ice, the recovery methods are universal. Thanks for sharing.

That's a great way to presoak a rig to make the dirt easier to move. It won't clean much, but it beats laying under a rig with a pressure washer trying to soak caked and dried mud with low volume 3000 psi water. It does make for a redneck mud bath though. I hear people pay for that at specialty spas these days.

FYI: A helicopter dispatch in Utah can be extremely expensive. My niece injured her ankle bicycling near Moab. The helicopter was a 10 minute flight away and flew about 8 minutes back to Moab where she was taken to the hospital. The helicopter ambulance bill was over $60,000. Her insurance paid only $30k. She still is making monthly payments of about $250/month several years later.

In the last several years federal legislation passed that actually significantly reduces if not outright eliminates air ambulance costs for areas that air ambulance is a faster choice than by ground vehicle. The goal was to make all ambulance services free but it turned out that was way more complicated so it didn't happen.
